Default Spinks vs Bundrage Stoppage: good or bad

I didn't like the stoppage. Bundrage floors Spinks with a good shot and Spinks manages to get back to his feet. K9 proceeds to try to get him outta of there and hits Cory low and the ref didn't do jack about it. Bundrage pushed him down at the end and gets the TKO.

I don't like or dislike either fighter, but I felt bad for Spinks because he was showing huge heart and the will to continue. He got up the from the first KD and got back into the fight. I think he stood a chance to do the same after the second because Bundrage appear to be losing steam.

    Bad stoppage in my opinion.

It was a bad stoppage in the sense that the ref lost control of the fight and let K9 manhandle Spinks and foul him, but if anything the ref let the fight go on a tad too long.

    Spinks was done.

He wasn't complaining of an early stoppage, he knew it wasn't his night and Bundrage had him.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

I've seen guys who looked like Spinks before, but they were usually blitzed in the French Quarter and trying to remember where they parked the car at 2AM. I do think the ref fumbled the stoppage but it certainly needed to be stopped and even sooner. Spinks was effected by even glancing shots as it went and the tko was really when, not if.

Good stoppage in the sense that it saved us from watching any more of that shitshow amateur hour.

Yep, this and Spicoli's post are exactly right. If it had been a close fight where Spinks looked to be in it until then I could see the arguement, I guess.
