    Default Thailand Training Camp

Hey everyone I've been thinking about going to a gym in Thailand for 2 weeks, to train and have a holiday on my own. Does anyone have any recommendations? Tips? And is it worth it for just 2 weeks? (max I can get off work) I just think it would be a good experience, and I need a holiday so I thought why not kill two birds with one stone!

If you were MMA orientated it would be a great and tough two weeks training there as there kick boxers like to test out visitors.

Why Thailand? On another web-site I check in on, there is a guy that posts videos from a camp in Thailand, and MMA camp...useless as hell for boxing. I would bet a ton that, close to where you are, there are a handful of guys with incredible amounts of boxing knowledge, that can teach you things you have yet to contemplate.
What matters, and this often goes unmentioned, is the personal connection you have with your trainer. The more you are able to be influenced by him, the more you will learn.

Depends what you're looking to train. If you're looking for muay thai then yes perfect but don't expect it to be a holiday as most that I know of will throw you straight in training like the pro's twice a day If fitness and weightloss is what you're after then go for it - OR are there any good clubs/trainers that you would like to work with - some not all offer some form of private tuition. You could go to the regular training sessions along with what ever privates you can arrange.

You need to think what you want to achieve with your time

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking just more for the experience as I wanted to go away for a week and thought it would be different to a usual holiday. But i would prefer something boxing orientated rather than Muay Thai. Does anyone know any countries to visit that would be good for this? What about Cuba? Cheers.
