    Default Froch - Oosthuizen ???

Froch vs Oosthuizen Title Clash in Play For November - Boxing News

Just seen this on boxingscene, I didnt expect the young springbok to be getting a shot at Froch ever, but this might be on of the other options that eddie has for Carl.

Doubt it will happen to be fair, it's not in frochs heart to fight unknown fighters

Takes care of his mandatory right? Oosthuizen is a quality fighter. Not sure he is ready for the prime time fight against an elite fighter like Froch, but he's a good, young fighter.

is Oosthuizen ready for this? probably not.

but he is ranked in the top 10 at 168 in every non biased ranking.

not bad for an interim fight.

Bute has executed the rematch clause and possibly himself and then comes maybe Ward or Kessler. I just do not see a mandatory as being a factor at this stage of Carls career. He's going to cash out over the next couple of years and make the highlight reel in the process. Good on um. Belt or no.

Froch fighting an unbeaten southpaw with a good reach and workrate should make for a good fight, i recon the fight has come way to soon for Oosthuizen and Froch will stop him late or win on points.

Its good that Froch is fighting a southpaw again good preperation for Bute aslong as he wins.

    Hmm

I would rather see Kessler go to UK again , but I read in the danisk media that:

Froch vs Oosthuizen is nearly agreed, and that Kessler would go to face Pavlik in USA at Madison Square Garden.

We will see if this is true: here is the danish translatation by google:

That's interesting, I would have preferred Froch to fight Kessler but I would take this fight. It's going to be a challenge for Froch and I hope he handles him in style. I'm sure he will, I hope Froch does fight Kessler after he handles Oosthuizen and Bute again. It's the fight Froch needs really.

Never seen him fight and would have preferred Kessler but I'll trust you all (and The Ring rating him #4) that this guy is good. I guess he couldn't get Pavlik to come to the UK? Shame -- though it sounds like this is more of a challenge anyway.

Yes I've got a feeling this might be a bit more of a challenge the Pavlik, he's a young 6 foot 4 168 fighter and he's got the IBO belt, I think this is a good move for Froch and if he puts on a solid performance here it would set him up nicely for a Bute rematch.

I dont see why it wouldnt be, the IBO is a world recognized belt, maybe not as big as the main 4, but at least they dont have so many world champions. So yes it is a unification fight I suppose.

No idea who this guy is. I hope he's shit because it'll be a come down for Froch and if they guy is half about it could have disaster written all over it.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Who has him as anything other than second as is? Kessler is the only guy you could even argue should get that spot but he hasn't fought a 168 fight in far too long.
