Team Oosthuizen: We Turned Down The Carl Froch Fight - Boxing News

right so kessler and Oosthuizen out of the picture, who is Froch actually going to fight? Glad Oosthuizen isnt being thrown in at the deep end, because it would have ended horribly for him.

The wait for Froch's next opponent continues...

Remind me why Kessler is out of the picture?

Anything beyond those two (and Bute, who's obviously got to take a confidence-builder first) is a stay-busy fight. Pavlik is probably the most interesting of those, but Pavlik will price himself out. I thought Dirrell beat Froch and wouldn't mind seeing that rematch but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Well from what people are saying Kessler wants too much money.

I think if Froch can't get Pavilik he should get James Degale in the ring with him. I'm pretty sure he is ranked by the IBF and he is currently a Euro Champ. It would also be of interest to everyone in the UK, Froch needs big money fights, he only has another two or so years left in him. He needs them now for his retirement fund.

Johnson lost to a lower ranked opponent in his last fight and offically called it a day.

I'm selfish so don't want to see a Oosthuizen fight, I want another big fight for Froch.

Hearn was on ringside and Kessler priced himself out of it, probably because he knows coming to the UK and fighting a high confidence Froch isn't good for his health.

I thought Froch beat Dirrel but it was close.

A match with Degale isn't worth discussing, Froch would have nothing to gain from winning apart from money and if he was to lose to a relative novice it isn't going to look good.

Pavlik shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, I doubt he has anything else as meaningful to consider. I think they could do big money in the UK, if Pavlik was on form i think it would be a difficult fight for Froch. Pavlik is a very good fighter he's just lost his way a bit.

I hope they announce something good soon, I have met Froch and seen most of his fights since he turned pro but never seen him fight live i'd love to go but I'm not shelling out for some unknown.
