Default Gennady Golovkin vs. Grzegorz Proksa Saturday night fight thread

Golovkin is a Kazak, living in Germany, who has an undefeated record. (23-0 with 20 KOs) Proksa is a Pole, who resides in the UK, has won 28 (KO 21) + lost 1. Aside from their records, I don't know much about either Pug, but this might be a decent scrap Saturday night. Also on the card is Sergiy "I got KTFO by Martinez" Dzinziruk vs. Jonathan Gonzalez.

At Verona, N.Y. (HBO): Gennady Golovkin vs. Grzegorz Proksa, 12 rounds, for Golovkin's WBA "regular" middleweight title; Sergiy Dzinziruk vs. Jonathan Gonzalez, 12 rounds, junior middleweights.

So let's toss back a few and check these fights Saturday night, if Proksa wins he would bring back a Middleweight Title, to Championship impoverished Britain.

I think next to maybe Gary Russell Jr., Golovkin is the most-hyped prospect in the sport right now. This is his first fight on U.S. TV and will be the first time I've seen him anywhere other than YouTube, so I'm very interested in seeing how he measures up to the hype.

I've yet to read a single prediction that's anything other than mid-to-late rounds KO for Golovkin.

Golovkin is a puncher, and you got love that remember him fighting as amateur, and he was putting them
away then see him put Bute away. I like him he's a danger man, a guy to keep a eye on.

There are at least 3 better Middleweights than Proska in Britain and very few decent Americans at the weight. If you want to talk about impoverishment Mars then how about sticking to the paucity of medals in the USA's Olympic boxing team, your heavyweights or lack of decent ones, and how few P4P best you have nowadays. The USA used to dominate boxing, not anymore. We never had that.

Geezus Beanz, can't I have a go at you blokes every once in a while? Where's your sense of humor old chap.
As for the U.S.A.'s Olympic boxing team, you mean we have one? lmao

This card starts tonight @ 9:45 PM ET here in the States, and for you night owls in the UK about 2:45 AM Sunday.

At Verona, N.Y. (HBO): Gennady Golovkin vs. Grzegorz Proksa, 12 rounds, for Golovkin's WBA "regular" middleweight title; Sergiy Dzinziruk vs. Jonathan Gonzalez, 12 rounds, junior middleweights.

I'm not sure if the undercard fight featuring Sergiy Dzinziruk vs. Jonathan Gonzalez will be shown on HBO, but it should be up first on B.A.D.
I'm wondering if Spicoli survived Issac, has electric power, and/or will be sober enough to watch the fights tonight.

Somehow, I think that we could be in for a surprisingly interesting fight...

If Dirrell's trickery couldn't deter Golovkin then Proksa should be in for a bit of a pummelling.

Proksa is 4/1 underdog so you won't earn much betting on Golovkin but there is still serious money to be earned if you bet on Golovkin winning by KO. And that's the most likely outcome. Espcially given the fact that Proksa didn't have a proper camp and at some point he will slow down.

Although it didn't exactly take a genius to work that one out
