Man, that was exciting. Only because it still ended the way I was hoping.

My heart was in my mouth. I couldn't believe it, if it wasn't for that push Martinez could have been in real trouble. He clearly hadn't recovered at that stage. And then to get up swinging away, Martinez seems to have been all about the pride factor and that is risky.

I'm glad he finished up okay. It was an easy fight apart from that bit of sloppiness infused with machismo kamikaze.

In normal circumstances it would have been dramatic but with the connection to his dad and Meldrick Taylor it made it unbelievable (well almost, thank fuck Martinez recovered)

I said before I didn't care who won, but when Martinez went down I found myself pulling for him in a big, big way. Dominating eleven of twelve rounds, then being stopped in the last round is more punishment than any fighter should have to take. It turned out OK, so all is well in my little neighborhood.

I'm not really a Chavez fan and up until that last round I though he was more quit than guts. To me he had proven his worth as a fighter. I'm really more if a Martinez fan but I was thinking he could catch Martinez, The announcers were taking about it. I was wanting him to step it up and do it, but honestly, I just didn't think he couldn't do it. And all of the sudden I was Jumping out of my chair and I scared heck, out of my wife with that yell.
