Cool Thinking of going to Australia for a while

    Gday!

I went to Australia in 2011 and it was really nice! People are cool, friendly and easy going, the gurls aint lookin' that bad either!
So I'm thinking of going there for about 6 month to a year, hopefully find a job and an apartment!
But I have no idea where I wanna go to, I loved Cairns and Byron bay, But where ever there's job I will go! Cant really say i'm desperate about money but I'm willing to work so I can finance my apartment and food during that time. I see it more as a "vacation", Just want to do something else in my life.
In 2011 I was only there for 3 weeks, Soo I hope I get another chance to see more out of it!
I did some reading online that it's kind of easy to find a job, Hope its correct!

And if you have any ideas, tips or information about something, please share!

    Regards, David

Never been but want to go in a couple of years when the kids are a bit older to appreciate what they are seeing and I am getting value for money. Got cousin in Melbourne and will see them when I have the time.

Can you ride a motor bike? I would buy one out here, so you can get anywhere you wish cheap with no hassle.

Travel the countryside and work seasonal work on vineyards while traveling between major cities and states just work at whatever when ever you can and stay where you wish too once you find the right place. Avoid Darwin.

Theres work on private building sites on farms in pubs dish washing on golf course resorts cooking preparing, dish washing. Deck hand on fishing vessels or fishing charter boats, Theres is work on the large sailing vessels in north Queensland and you meet hundreds of tourist girls and party hard every night.

All the resorts up there change staff frequently.

The further you get around and the more people you talk to, the more you will experience and the more opportunities will arise.Just going to an outback pub and having lunch at the main bar ad a beer will broaden the horizons once a local chats to you but you have to engage them by asking if theres any work in area etc.

What is you line of work usually?

A motorbike wouldnt be any problem! Love riding, to bad there's alot of camras though

Sounds like there's alot of jobs from you aswell, I recently sended an email to a shipping company who loading and unloading containers! It was in Queensland and it was located in nine diffrent places.
So i was hoping i could work a month or two at one place and then move to another and just swap the location.
Would like to work on a ferry, I'm getting kind of tired of rave parties and all about alcohole, But i dont mind once in a whole!
About beer, Victoria bitter and four x is pretty good, that will do fine!
I worked for my father who owns a shipping company so I actually helped him load and unload containers thats why I applied to the shipping company! But im still open for other business!
Just worried about finding a place to live!

    What's up with Darwin?
I went to Cairns and Byron bay and it was quite nice towns!

Andree, where are you located may I ask? And thanks for the info man!

    , Xweetie!

Darwin is hot at this time of year.

What type of heavy equipment have you used? Cranes, forklifts.. etc.

Dang I like it hot though!

We used forklifts, dont have a driving licens for one, as we need in Sweden.
Not quite sure if you need a licens for it in Australia or not!

We used ramps and drove cars into the containers, if they didnt start we used a forklift!
