It was rather sad seeing Ricky, back in the ring when the first round was under way, I could see
he was a shell of his former self. I had a chancer of some tickets, but I'm glad I did not go.
I don't no what you lot think, but he was shot sad to watch last person, to no is the fighter himself
just hope he never fights again.

Me and my mate said the same, when he was on a heap on the floor it was like watching Elmo shooting up.

Sad times. Really wish he still had what he did, but that is life.

I think he was looking for redemption , great pity but there is not much pity shown in boxing.

I've just rewatched it and though there were some early positives, it was not the Ricky Hatton we knew. The second half of the fight was a gassed Hatton with weakening footwork. If he doesn't have the legs then he is in trouble. I think this was the end and Hatton should take some comfort in the knowledge that he could get in shape and take rounds off of a former champion after a 3 year lay off. He aimed too high too soon. He sopke about not wanting 8 rounders, but we saw here that was all he really had in him. He would have won an 8 rounder. He would have won a 10 rounder against a lesser opponent too.

It is sad that people thought he could turn back the clock , i had no interest in the fight , just like so many before him , Ricky was kidding himself.

Least we forget, this was a comeback after a 3 1/2 year drug & alcohol filled layoff, and getting knocked out cold my Pacquiao. Hatton would have to have been Superman to have pulled this off against a tough opponent like Senchenko. Smart move by the bigger Senchenko going to the body, were it not for that, Ricky might have gone the distance and won a close decision.

Last I heard Hatton says he's happily headed into retirement now, and has no plan to "slit his wrists".
