Default Andrew Flintoff vs Richard Dawson

More n more i look into read about the Andrew Flintoff Vs Richard Dawson the more im concerned for Freddie... Hes not evan at a standard of a half decent Amature boxer by the looks of Lords to the ring

Dont get me wrong hes improved and done really good for the time hes been in the gym .. But really ? and i thought the Mcguigan 's would have had more sense and looked after him with fighting someone whos record is 0-100 or something... Do they know something we dont? Or are they just in this for the cash? Yes Richard Dawson has been only fighting for 3 years or so with one Amature fight but he Koed a MMA fighter in his first fight in 19seconds ... His 2nd fight went 5rounds the guy retired on his stool with multiple Broken ribs.. He has his family to fight for, he done it the hard way...

Bob shannon is in Dawson's corner for the fight( the guy who trained Hatton for his final fight last weekend) Great coach .

i think freddie has the right to give boxing a go but after watching him spar in last nights show i was a bit concerned and when my 9yr old who was watching with me pointed out that when he throws punches his hands drop and he leaves himself open just made me think this could end early and with freddie on his arse
    think happy thoughts

This guy must be complete and utter pony. There's loads of Brit journeyman types they could have picked, who would have safely got Freddie to the final bell. Surely they wouldn't chance him actually getting sparked out.

However... @ 2/1 i'll chance this ends really embarrassing for Flintoff

I reckon if they picked a guy from the crowd that has some boxing experience Flintoff still wouldn't be certain to win.

    It's 2 minute rounds. WTF?
That doesn't help the 'this isn't a farce' brigade (of which I was/am one).

The guy Dawson does have a handfull of fights uder his belt. Its completely different when actually competing to any kind of sparring.

The only pluses I can see for Flintoff is he looks fitter of the two amd has a trainer with knowledge. This Dawson has experience on Flintoff and I dont understand why they have chosen him. He was down to be one of Kimbo Slices opponent earlier this year then they changed it last minute, probably because he was toohigh risk. This is like Hatton coming back against a world class opponent. Flintoff needs someone of similar experience as he has absolutely none, not even amateur!
