I think he should go for a Wilder rematch. The ring walks were pretty close.

Audley was a good amateur who never made the real transition to world class pro.

On the positives:

- it is mainly down to him that funding has been poured into British amateur boxing, so our recent amateur successes are directly attributable to him as a gold medallist
- he had good physical strengths, tall, big and strong. He always trained well and never turned up unfit
- good southpaw technical boxer, used his reach and his height well
- he could bang when he wanted to
- Ive never heard anybody criticise him for his personal life, or who has said he's an unpleasant guy

On the negatives:

- the competition was not very strong when he won his gold medal, to be fair
- he stayed an amateur for too long, so he boxed like an amateur (a bit like a fencer, accumulating points under 'stop/start' rules. He wasn't able to change his habits and style to make the pro transition
- he was the most hyped british fighter ive seen (and that's saying something). He signed a million pound TV deal for his debut! People resent that a bit
- Audley never showed the heart and soul of a true fighter. There's nothing wrong with that, but he never went into the trenches and gutted through a tough fight. He never really trusted his chin, probably quite rightly since he has been banged out a few times. However, this was a big criticism levelled at Lennox Lewis too.

I also think it's a shame he has unretired, he won't be a world champion and I hope that he just wants to have a couple more lower level fights and then bow out with a win. He is an old man for a fighter and I wouldn't like to see him get hurt, after all
