    Default seeing a live fight

Hey, there is a decent fight at Foxwoods casino which is in the same state I live. The fight will be shown on HBO but I was thinking of going to see it. Prices go from 45-300 which doesn't seem that bad but unfortunately I was laid off a while ago so I will probably need to get some of the cheap seats. Now I have seen hundreds of concerts and have been in good seats and nosebleeds but with a concert the main concern is sound so while it is nice to see the Rolling Stones up close crappie tickets tickets were not the end of the world because the sound was still great. This brings me to my question.

How is it seeing a boxing match from the cheap seats. I would imagine the electricity of the crowd would be great which makes it fun unto itself but if I have to watch the whole fight on the jumbo tron and can only distinguish the boxers by the color of their trunks it seems it might be anticlimactic. I am also not that much into crowds anymore but I have been wanting to see a live fight that does not involve me getting hit. So I am taking the long road to ask a short question, what are your experiences seeing a fight from the cheap seats. Did you enjoy it or does it make more sense to watch it on the front row of my couch.

By the way, Macklin is fighting

Sorry if I am asking this question in the wrong section.

It very much depends on the capacity of the venue. I've had great views and horrible views.
The M.E.N in Manchester is 18,000 to 20,000 and you get a really good view from anywhere (although I've never sat right at the back it seems it would still be more than acceptable). Larger than that can be a problem from further back.
What capacity is Foxwoods? About 8,000? If so I don't think you'll have any issues (unless you happen to find a pillar directly in front of you!).

I was pretty far from the ring when I saw the 2nd Gonzalez/Carbajal fight and it was still great. That was at the Forum which sounds like it is much larger than the venue you will be going to, with a 17000 plus capacity.

go to it, will be well worth the money even if you end up with a cheap seat. I've only been to one fight maidana- alexander in the scott trade center, and it was awesome even from in the back for the main event. till just about the main event you can sneak to the front and watch the fights there, seemed like most people with frontline tickets didn't bother showing up till the main event, don't know if that's always the case but i would think so since it also always seems so on tv.

In the words of one Rocky Balboa....Go fa it!! I've only been to a few cards locally but I'm sure by 'cheap' you will not be hanging out in the rafters catching nose bleeds. Check into the layout and seating arrangments, angles and I'm sure there are a few guys on here who can offer some tips and how to maximize the experience etc. Nothing beats a live venue and the experience. I payed cheapy years back and they actually bumped us up front to 'fill' seats, live broadcast and all. Have fun with it but make sure your close enough to the camera with a huge sign

The handful if fights I've gone too I always get mid prices tickets. But I come for all the fights so I sit as close to the front as possible and when asked to move back (usually around main event time) I go back to my seat which has an ok view. Macklin should have decent support so would be a good atmosphere
