Really? Who has Broner actually fought to warrant all this hype?

Not one person picks Malignaggi to beat him. Except me!

Jump in 2 weights for this fight, but he hasn't fought anyone considered top at the previous weight, DeMarco at a push, and I think (quite obviously) that Malignaggi takes DeMarco just as easy as Broner did, maybe not on a KO though.

I don't get it, he hasn't out classed any top, top fighter in my opinion and the De Leon fight was very close.

Wilder gets bad hype because he hasn't fought a great deal of talent, yet Broner is the next Floyd, albeit he has fought some decent fighters, but not enough for me to consider him the next big thing.

While Broner is stepping up, considering how much he actually gets hit, do you think he'll stay up and take on a Mattyese or Canelo? Hardly.

youre probably right in sayng that malinagi would have had the same record as broner had he fought the same fighters as broner, and its down to size

and you have to consider it as if each fight was at welterweight as that is what the malinagi broner fight is at

@Vendettos, you're absolutely right in that Broner hasn't really been tested, and you're right that Paulie would have beaten all his foes, but Dawson would have beaten everyone Stevenson has faced and look what happened on Saturday. Paulie gets hit far too much for someone of his style and like I said in the other thread, he wasn't hard to find against Hatton. Broner is a wide lightweight, he's strong, he has decent pop and incredible speed. I just can't see Paulie staying away from this and landing enough over 12 rounds to take a decision. I'm not saying it is an easy fight, because Paulie can box and is tough as nails, but I think Broner will hand him a beating and I think he'll make it look easy too. Broner still deserves alot of credit if he wins this, it is a ballsy move to jump 2 weight divisions to take on a seasoned opponent.

I'm going with Paul myself. Paul always had a good chin and good skillset. He's not going to come staight in and he will or at least capable of jabbing for 12 rounds. Not to mention, he been up at this weight for 3 fights now.

I like Broner. But not sold on him yet. Because he took the lightest puncher possible makes me wonder. He could have stayed at 135 and fought a number of guys that would have tested him. Not to mention fighting at 140. The top 10 at 140 all would have tested Broner. He got star power, but not a resume' yet.

Paulie is quick and slick, with a very fast jab, not farfetched that with Broners plod forward style that Paul can pick him off for 12 rounds.

Nothing he has done warrants the massive gap in favoritism I this fight.

Someone said 7/1 and nothing has me sold on Broner enough to make me even consider that as fair.

It's not just about who you beat it's the way that you do it. Every other week fighters with inferior records on paper win, and they don't all start underdog, quite the contrary.

For sure Broner is a Grade 1 complete and utter cunt. However, you can't deny he hasn't got impressive skills and has been winning in style. Also Broner is 10 years younger than Paulie.
