I love the bloke, that last minute of his fight this weekend shows what he is all about, trying with every punch to take Peribans head off and just leaving it all in the ring.

Periban isnt as bad as people are making out. Check out Bikas fight with Calzaghe, he has always fought the same, he hasnt regressed, he is what he is, just a machine that has never taken in any skills or balance. Periban was an amateur champ, mayne he came across Bika too early, not having had any tough fights yet. He had a chin thats for sure.

This is what I said weeks ago when people were making out that whoever lost out of Froch and Kessler would have nowhere to go.

Bika is a good selling fight because Bika brings action and now a belt. Kessler has a chance at another belt there now but im not sure if he wants to continue boxing as he was talking about tirement even before the Froch rematch. Not sure he can get himself in shape and down in weight again and go through another hard fight. It wouldnt be for as much money as a third Froch fight and thats what hes going to want, money.

Bika could defend against perenial contender Magee maybe or even have the fight with Chavez jr. Big name, good money and very beatable, especially at this weight where he hasnt faced anyone and Bika is probably the strongest in the division.

Bika was absolutely fucked in the last round but gave everything. I think he knackered himself more than useual because he was catching zperiban alot so put alot in to his punches but like I said Periban has a strong chin and maybe should move down to middle?

    Yes yes and yes.

Bika is a lovable, tough, courageous bastard. I'm a very happy for him that he won a world title trinket. Have no idea how the fuck it appeared and don't give it much merit, but its still awesome for Bika.

Chavez Jr. don't want none, he'll get his face pounded in. Bullying Bika won't work for him.

Miles, stop being such a negative cunt.

This was a good fight, and Bika won it convincingly and was dog tired exhausted but still beating the big Mexican's ass the last minute of the fight.

Pissed me off that Periban was so classless in defeat and delusional. He won 4 fucking rounds if he's lucky. More like 3.

Ouch man I thought Periban did a pretty good job off swithing between boxing and picking spots to slug in between Bika waiting. It was a pretty solid scrap, and frankly the highlight of the card I think. Either way it looks like it was a way to keep a possible trinket for Chavez warm. But fuck Chavez and his Cap 'N Crunch face stuffing fat self. I wouldn't mind a rematch between these guys?! Hope at least to see Periban face another contender.

Bika will clobber him. Chavez Jr. is a beast at 160, won't be the case at 168.

Periban or whatever his name is has a great chin n fought well, but he did not come close to winning. His behavior afterwards was atrocious.

A man that gave Calzaghe one of his hardest fights and had Ward holding for dear life in the last 2 rounds and has just beaten a young touted, undefeated fighter and fought hard for a full entire 12 rounds is suddenly easy pickings for Umtested fighters like Groves and Chavez?

Periban is a better win at super middle than any Groves or Chavez have had.

Chavez will look the same as Abraham when he moved up, if he infact does. That strength at middle will not tell at super middle and he won't just look mediocre, he will look poor.

Groves will get hurt by any decent puncher and De Gale would get outworked and bullied.

Just because the very best have beaten Bika doesnt suddenly make him shit. He is a gate keeper but a gate keeper to the top 5 at least.

Groves posted he's number 2 WBC, I think that's the fight he needs to secure the Froch showdown

If Groves goes in to a Bika fight thinking hes a massive puncher and that hes an elusivedefensive wizard like he did against Johnson he gets stopped early

I thought Bika looked poor really and he was almost out on his feet towards the end. It was a technically weak fight, but very fun to watch. On that evidence he is approaching the end rather than going anywhere and only in the 21st century would he be a champion. Bika has never been amongst the top and has lost all of his big fights quite convincingly.

Right now Bika is in the top 4 maybe top 3 dependi g on where you are putting Kessler. Bika beats Groves and De Gale. groves is a knockout waiting to happen and De Gale would not keep Bika off of him for 12.

Bika is a mental hard funker but Groves is maturing fast (imo). Bika's only real chance of beating Groves is if the roughhouse stuff knocks him off his game and he sparks him out. Good fight.

It's a joke he is champion and its a joke that fight was a world title fight. Groves, Degale, Ward, Kessler, oosthuizen, Rodriguez, Dirrel, Vlasov, Abraham, Stieglitz, are all better then the two of them last night. It's a joke and its just a way of getting Chavez a title at the weight. If you can't see that your a fool.

Chavez will win the title and prob defend it 40 times against bums or has beens making millions before getting a mega fight with someone who will beat him. Just like middleweight.

So now Chavez is suddenly a much better boxer than we last saw?

Chavez is nothing more than a smaller Periban.
