Default Michael Spinks Vs Michael Moorer at Light Heavyweight

Who would have won? IMO Spinks is underrated at how good he was, cause at Lt. Heavy he was a beast, he was tiny as a HW and still managed a couple good wins (aside from the Holmes gifts), and well Moorer was a monster at Lt. Heavy, so who would have won it? The former Undisputed Champ? or the Former WBO Champ?

I agree. He's like the Jimmy Young of his time in the appreciation aspect. He was like a cross between Charles and Hopkins. Really good technical fighter. I think he would figure Moorer out and most likely stop him.

Spinks was clearly the faster more technical fighter with good pop, but Moorer's power was crazy at 175

Michael Spinks definitely had the power in his left hook to knock over Moorer with that chin of his.

Both 6'2", and both with KO power at Light-Heavy. Moorer with more power, and a devastating short hitter.
Spinks showed a better chin and more versatility, and more consistency.
    Moorer ran hot-and-cold.

I'd go with the Olympic Gold Medal winner, Michael Spinks in this one..

Almost a mismatch. Moorer was fun to watch at 175, but power aside was not really top class, indeed he was 'learning' his trade, having trouble with some ordinary opposition. Spinks was the real deal at 175, arguably the best 175lber this side of Bob Foster. A very good boxer, who had an awkward style many struggled with; he also had 'The Jinx'...

lets up it a notch, how about

    Spinks/Holyfield at Cruiserweight
    Holyfield/Haye at Cruiserweight
    Spinks/Haye at Cruiserweight
    Spinks/Jirov at Cruiserweight
    Spinks/Jones Jr at Lt Heavy
    Holyfield/Jones Jr at Cruiserweight

Moorer would go into the late rounds and get beat down... Spinks did this time after time after time with guys. Moorer could not handle a young Spinks, and certainly not win on points.

Doesn't matter: 10, 12 or 15 rounder... it would most likely, if a 12 rounder, be stopped- or a real testing time for Moorer- would come in at about the 9th and 11th round.
    Bigger man George, bigger punch!

I think Moorer would lose via death by misadventure in the 10th round.

Moorer was raw and still in seek and destroy mode at lt heavy. Decent possiblities with him then vs a Hill, Williams and company but he ain't hanging with a Spinks. Flat footed, arcing hooks often off rock-a-bye footwork that left him square-ish and I think you can sum up how much of a Moorer vs Spinks would look in the 3,4th rounds of his fight with Leslie Stewart.
