Default The difference between a long range uppercut and a bolo punch?

I believe sugar ray leonard was an expert with the bolo punch?

Anyway is the difference that with an uppercut even a long ranged one the arm stays in the same "rigid" shape, where as a bolo sweeps along in a straight line in the middle of its curved arc because you allow the arm to go "floppy" at the elbow and then to curve/bend at the elbow again at the last moment?

You can throw a bolo and an uppercut to the head and to the liver/groin cant you? Or does an uppercut that low automatically become something else?

Also which hits harder the bolo or the uppercut?

GREY NOT SO OLD WHERE ART THOU?

The bolo punch is the one your boyfriend uses to unleash his fist into your ass..

The 'grandmaster' of the bolo was Kid gavilan; before him there was ceferino Garcia, and, I'm sure, many others. ray Leonard once claimed to have invented the punch- I'm certain he was high on some drug or the other to say something so ridiculous.
The uppercut, thrown properly, is a pretty precise and disciplined punch. You throw it as a counter and from in close, to either the head or the body. Throwing it from long range is a good way to get knocked out- see Holyfield vs Douglas, among others.
There is at least as much hook as uppercut in a bolo- kind of like the left hook most fighters throw to the body.
Watch Carlos Zarate fight- he uses, almost incessantly, a left uppercut to the body. Which might seem odd for a guy that tall but it is his go-to punch. He uses it all the time.
