Kenny Bayless nowadays.

Mills Lane back in the 80s and 90s.

I liked Ron Lipton in the 90s before he got blackballed. He didn't want to play old boy politics with them dirty old boys of boxing...

Mitch Halpern was good in the 90s too. He committed suicide.

Very, very few competent refs in Boxing.
Far, far easier to copile lists of incompetent refs, no troubles compiling that list, those characters are broadcasted every week...

What's your opinion of Steve Smoger? I used to think he was one of the best, but after the Hopkins vs Murat fight I don't think so.

These days it has to be Smolger, I almost never even notice him in a fight unless a boxer fouls and back in the day..LETS GET IT ON!!! Good Ol Judge Lane.

Totally forgot about him.. Smoger has to be the best active referee even though he had a bad night during hopkins-murat..
