He play up the dramatics a little. But it's pretty clear it was a legit body shot

I think he got hit and didn't wanna get back up.... not that it was a dive... but he just didn't wanna continue the fight!

Bob Arum would have called Morales out for taking a dive against Pacquiao if Eric had left Top rank prior. I think maybe DLH just embellished it with the pounding of the canvas, perhaps he even could have gotten up, but either way it's no dive. Hopkins pretty clearly landed a nasty liver shot.

There were a lot of times where fighters just didn't wanna continue.... this was one of them.... another, more notable time, was when Tyson fought Lewis. It was clear that Tyson could have continued- but what purpose would it have served. So, he stood down for the count.... smart man.

That was a body shot and it hurt Oscar. Even Hopkins wanted him to get up for a reamtch but he was hurt.

So that means he's quit both on his stool (Pac), AND by pounding the canvas in dramatic "agony".

    Interesting...

No way Oscar quit winning the championship from Hopkins at middleweight would have been a huge accomplishment Love Morales but he is a drug cheat and should worry about that before questioning another fighter

The top fighters have egos the size of the Grand Canyon, there is no way in hell Oscar would have faked a KD or thrown a fight. The liver shot was real, the pounding on the canvas was frustration, he would have gotten up if he could and the guy setting at ring side yelling body shot was a real boxing fan. It was fast and surprising but legit.
