The substances were to help his body wean off of TRT. He knows he can't compete without TRT so he had to retire.

I like Chael but he was always more exciting out of the cage than inside. Talked a great game but never delivered the goods when it mattered.

I agree, completely! There will probably be some more guys dropping out as they see how hard it is to compete.
I don't think any of them will be as entertaining as Chael out of the ring though.
