It's bull$#!t, and his manager/coach/his whole team knows why:

...'cause Wilder's NOT the goods, that's why!

This is the guy Antonio Tarver beat senseless in HIS HVY DEBUT....a 45 year old Tarver

It's an embarrassing the amount of bs this guy is fooling some fans with.

Meanwhile a guy like Jennings takes shit because he was in a hard fight. I just don't get it.

...speaking of Tarver why not fight him?

Fucking Wilder needs to face a real boxer soon.

I don't know where Juice box is, but at least he'd be fighting a who knows how to duck.

I don't think he'll go in with this can of puddin, just no way. Its actually a sizable step backwards. They gotta do better for a #1 'contender'

I saw rumours early today that it was going to be Darnell Wilson who is actually a step down from Malik Scott. I'm also seeing some reports as expected awhile back that Wlad is starting to make some noise about wanting that title his brother vacated and that the WBC has accepted if Wilder would be willing to step aside for a load of cash. All this talk of waiting on Stivernes injury is a lark. I believe he was counting on Wlad to be his escape route from Stiverne and will gladly take 6 figures to sit at ringside. When you think about it the guy has one guy under the top 50 on his lodge pole and has barely fought over 1 round and yet finds himself at the top of the food chain and in a #1 position.
H's also in a position to get his biggest payday of his career w/o fighting. You dont want to be looking the gift horse in the mouth as the saying goes. Best to let that attrition run its course.
