Word-association cock, sock

I did a thread like this several years ago and it ended up being a bit of a spammer, so I have adapted it for the year 2014. You have a 4 letter word and you have to alter one letter to make a new 4 letter word. You have to make 5 new words before you can submit a post. The goal is cover every 4 letter word in the English language. I shall begin as it is my thread and I must lead by example.

3, Sick
4. Sink
5. Pink

Please continue and if there is a repetition of a word the thread is over. If we make it to make over 200 words, then we shall likely go down as the brainiest forum on the Internet.

Oh, I'm bored and need a rest from contemplating the new world order. I was in the department store yesterday and saw scrabble and it was just too expensive, so I didn't buy it, but I wish I did because I would be having a great time playing on my own right now seeing how many points I can rack up. It's such a great game and is up there with any of the human inventions of the past 200 years. It certainly beats the atomic bomb which is a disgrace and is hanging over all of us like a noose. Scrabble is nothing like a noose, it is freedom and the opportunity to create. The atomic bomb is just the ability to destroy and maim. Language is freedom, the bomb is tyranny. Scrabble does have its limitations though. For instance, you cannot just make up words and it would be cheating to mix languages.

This post is just an excuse for me to play the word association game some more. Here I go, you try and stop me.
