    Default Something you don't see

I've read about ezzard Charles catching an opponent's jab in his right glove, and then throwing a right hand right behind it. I have never seen it- or, I've seen it, but never caught it. In this video, James Toney does that move. It happens at exactly 26:26. That is a high skill move.

Well spotted. That would have passed me by, but even though when it comes to the mechanics and artistry of technique I am a relative neophyte, I can see how that would be really difficult to pull off. Is it an instinctual thing or would Toney have practiced such an unorthodox move in training/sparring before, to add to his arsenal ?

I have read about that move- Ezzard Charles was said to do it. Bill Miller, Toney's trainer, was a worshipper at the altar of Ezzard and that must be where Toney learned the move. I don't know how you would teach it, however. And I have seen that fight many times without seeing that until today.

I have been taught this move, heard it called a skipping stone punch. Very tough to pull off.

    Nice spot.
He goes for for something similar again about 10 seconds later just after he turns back into him after walking away.

Tony was a very reactive fighter nice to watch, he feels something land on himself and instinctively follows that same arm back arm home while adjusting to land better himself.

He was into everything, 32:41 leaping left hook as someone backs off) Ha you name it, he be trying it at some stage. BTW fuck you, I'm meant to do shit this morning now Im watching a fight already
