Marquez has been on 7-figure purses for a while now. Good luck getting him over... maybe double the current PPV price to 35 quid

Very, very winnable fight for Kell at this point in their careers. Marquez has slowed noticeably and Porter was an introduction who really came out of nowhere to beat Devon. A win over Marquez is a much bigger deal as far as this market goes. Places him firmly in North American conversation.

Fair play to Brook. This is a dangerous fight, especially after his long lay off. Marquez won't give his career away . When Pac tried to get him back in the ring, Marquez turned down loads of money, which shows he takes the challenges he wants. Big trouble for Brook if he loses, but if he wins, forget about Khan, the Mayweather or Pac fights will be in touching distance.
Hope it happens, but Hearn will have to dig deep into his pockets.

Can't knock the fight if it happens, but I'd pick Brook with confidence, would rather see them each go another way. Kell would be the biggest guy Marquez has ever fought, has a good strong jab and outside game, doesn't over commit often or rely on pressure at all. I see it a pretty bad style match up for Marquez even if he weren't undersized and quite so old now.

Why doesn't Marquez try and land a fight with Garcia or Matthyse, even Rios, those are all guaranteed action fights that he could still win... Against Brook the best he could hope for would be another close-ish loss like the Bradley one, the way I see it.

Good name on the CV if he wins. Even though he's getting on and it's up in weight for him, JMM is still up there on the P4P listings .

Brook v JMM would be good if it is not ppv. I think Brooks is going down this route because he things Floyd will fight Khan. Or this is a negotiating ploy to get Khan to commit to fight Brooks. Brooks beat JMM easily as you can an old undersized legend counter puncher.

I'd like to see this fight. Brook is interesting to watch. I think JMM has enough left in the tank to beat him but I dislike when JMM cries when he loses a fight he thought he won even though it is quite clear he lost. He probably just gets caught up in the moment, I'm sure I would cry much more loudly.

The Kell Brook who fought Porter loses to Marquez. He's gonna a need a much better performance than that to beat the great Marquez

Brook's next fight will be PPV regardless of who he fights. No serious boxing fan would complain about Marquez fighting in this country. PPV me up

A major part of this sport is timing both planned and unplanned and in this case a Marquez fight could not be better. Unplanned but the stars have kind of aligned for this kid. He's even got a registered retirement savings plan with Khan should he fall short in any of his upcoming headline fights. He needs to forget about that though. Seen it in hockey hundreds of times. Guy gets 40 or 50 goals a years, gets multi million dollar contract and takes 3 years off and almost becomes a liability on the ice.

Classic matchup. Boxer/puncher vs boxer/counter puncher. It doesn't get any better then this from a pugilistic stand point. His fight with the flailing Porter has no bearing on this scrap whether you think he looked good or not. I thought he dominated it.

This is not the same Marquez, not by a long shot but its still a great win and not an easy one. He's smart and will take advantage or attempt to of some of the errors that Kell may repeat on a regular basis like stepping straight back with the lead down. Marquez on the other hand has most definitely lost a step or two, looks slower and has spent a lifetime almost training for a darting in southpaw and has almost looked out of sorts with orthodox guys. Kells speed, drive and sharp punching will be to much at this stage. I don't see him going to England though at this stage in his career.
