There are about 4 great HW fights that I can remember in past 14 years and liakhovich-Brewster is certainly among them..

I'd say this fight is in par, if not better than lews-vitali.. I put it way up there..

It's definitely amongst the top that I've ever seen - the amount of punches and punishment each guy took - and pure action.

Lewis Vitali is another fight I'm very keen on - but it doesn't have the lenght or pure action this has... clearly though it's at a higher quality -

this was a bit like the gatti ward fight in that it wasn't the top top tier but probably the one below - but it was still an amazing fight

Greatest fight of this era (last 10-15 years), but IMO this is nowhere near the best HW fight of all time. Top25 maybe?

This is a great example of Contrast of styles- these two guys would never look so good against any other opponent as Briggs fought with a seeming asthma attack against Liakovich next fight from round 2-11, then outta nowhere knocks Sergie out the ring- in between the apron and announcer's table-proving how limited of a fighter Sergei was.

Same with Brewster, not a guy who could beat the top class, but these two guys styles meshed well together.

No way does this compare to Holyfield Bowe I That was two skilled fighters in their prime.

brewster went on an impressive run after losing to Etienne and Shufford where he beat Wlad, Golota, Krasniqi and then losing to Liackhovich. He was finished by then but he gave some excitement.
