Makes me laugh seeing the HUNDREDS of status updates on Facebook about the French terror attack - "Je Suis Charlie" etc.

They pretty much provoked that incident and were warned for years, doesn't make it right at all but what amazes me is that no one mentions or does anything about what goes on in Nigeria which is a hundred times worse, those 250 girls that were kidnapped last year are still missing and then we have this below which is shocking.

Im no politician and don't get involved in topics but was wondering if any of you know the reason nothing gets done about this?

No marches involving millions of people, no mentions on social media or the press in comparison?

Just curious as to why this gets largely ignored

Yeah it's awful stuff. I just watched a HBO doc on the 2013 West Gate Mall massacre by the Boko Haram. Nasty, nasty savages they are. It's heart breaking to know that this goes on anywhere in the world.

I've no idea who he is really, but came across the story in my media trawl. He seems to have a long history, but if inciting others is your game, then it is a similar field to the Charlie guys. The French seem to have double standards and don't like freedom of speech so much when it comes to Jewishness.

True AdamGB, and I thought the same thing myself, look at the different reactions: in one case wholesale slaughter of innocents, and in the other a mere prosecution. It is clear who is more civilized.

But I agree with Miles that what C hebdo did was "freedom of speech" targeting Muslims' Holy Prophet Muhammad (as hateful and inciteful and bigoted as it was) but if the same "free speech" as hateful and inciteful and bigoted were made about Jews, it would suddenly be "anti-semiitsm".
