Default Can Bryant Jennings avoid being tied up by Wlad?

Can he? He fights "small" and "compact", in terms of he keeps his hands tight to his side and head when he is in close and throws short punches, and then only punches with good shots when he steps free. Also, he has the capacity to turn to the jack-rabbit, David Haye/Floyd Patterson-esque, which may give Wlad some trouble. Jennings is very well conditioned.

He also likes to keep on his back right leg, so he has his front left leg extended way out and works off of his back hip more than we have seen from a heavyweight.

Can Jennings keep tight and on his back leg all night and avoid being held down, for the most part, on the back of the neck, if anywhere else?

On top of that, keep the back of his neck HEAVILY greased. Greasy, greasy, greasy, so he can roll out from under Wlad's forearms on the back of his neck and back!

Probably not but I think wlad will do less holding as he wants yo look good after his lame effort the last time he was allowed to fight in the USA. Wlad can not afford to stink out the fight but he will if he has to.

Interested to see if Wlad will follow him to the ropes and press advantages or just stand ring center and hold his jab out like he's waiting for falcons to land on it. Jennings is going to need to sucker him.

When you look at Bryant's record, and you look at his amateur career (what little there is of it), you get this picture of just how big of a longshot he is to win against Wlad. Mike Perez could have had a draw vs Jennings had he not been deducted a point in the 12th round. Other than that Jennings has fought Sergei Liakhovich in 2012...the only other fighter to be a true honest to God contender/title holder in the heavyweight division.

Sure Deontay Wilder has a bunch of bums on his record, but Bryant Jennings does as well. He's a good fighter and I want to see him do well, but this is going to get really ugly really quick like. I'm thinking Wlad by KO round 2....not sure how Bryant's chin is, but he's certainly not going to be able to fight his typical fight against Wlad. That showboating and gloating he does with his hands low....yeah that ain't gonna work so good.

I imagine when you have a guy as big, strong and long as Wlad, if he wants to grab you he's going to grab you. It's a timing thing, Muhammad Ali was an expert at timing a clinch and Wlad definitely learned from the Greatest.

I agree, Wlad will be doing whatever he wants.
Hopefully, Jennings will be able to go a few rounds, picking up some valuable experience along the way from one of the best.
I'm sure Jennings isn't fighting for the experience and anything can happen when the big guys get together, so he does have a chance.

Not excited about this fight, I think it will be really easy for Wlad also. Jennings is good and would be even odds with anyone else in the division imo, but he won't have any advantage at all in this one.
