Default Ward v Froch - negotiations underway says Hearn

Can't say i'm looking forward to this at all, it's an ugly fight and Ward will simply run rings round the Cobra unless the inactivity has seriously slowed him down in the last few years

Either way it's just gonna be cool to see our top Warrior back in action.

I like it. Great to hear, hopefully Ward's camp doesnt add drama and make it happen, like real quick.

Complete mismatch. Ward dominated him with one hand last time. Give him 2, yikes.

I do not think it will be a mis match because ward has been inactive, fighting in the UK with a British ref , Froch fully motivated for revenge. I think it will be a closer contest than their first fight.

I might be wrong, but Hearn talking Dogshit here cos he's struggling to get his big summer spectacle. This won't happen and Quigg v Frampton is unlikely as well.

I think you are right, I think they will pretend to make an attempt to drum up interest but have no real intention to make this fight. I am sure Froch would love to avenge his loss to Ward.

I do not think this fight will happen. If it does I do not believe the inactivity will hurt Ward at all and he will win again by decision.

Froch spent the whole fight chasing Wards shadow, completely outboxed!

Things have changed since they last fought and it is good to have the rematch at least Froch can not be accused of avoiding Ward.

Hang on a minute, we've only got Hearn's word that there are talks in place. As far as I'm concerned, for a guy who supposedly is a warrior who takes on everyone, there's quite a few fights out there he doesn't want for a variety of reasons.
Infact, the only fight I've heard him say he wants is an overblown MW with no title and that's only because for some crazy unknown reason apart from his name the Americans/Mexicans see him as a PPV fighter .
Let's make it clear, they don't see Froch as a PPV fighter.

I think Froch will have learned a lot from his fights with Groves. I think this could be a very good fight if in England. I still think Froch loses a decision but could be a more competitive fight this time. Hopefully it can be another big crowd in Wembley.

It's the perfect time to fight for Froch, he's riding a hot streak and Andre has been cooling down on the sidelines.

Froch needs this fight for his legacy. If he never fights and beats Ward, as good as he was he'll always go down as AT BEST being second fiddle to Ward.

There is no other big fight that Froch can make at this moment in time except Ward and that has to be in the UK for carl to win.

Gotta disagree. Why is Chavez a bigger fight than Degale for a World Title. Who has Chavez beat at SMW? Is Chavez a bigger fight than Golovkin? Is Chavez a bigger fight than unification fights like Abraham and Dirrell? I'm sure the governing bodies would've waived the mandatories if Froch had kept his title and wanted to unify. Is Chavez a bigger fight than Hopkins or Kovalev?
In reality Froch is looking for what he thinks is an easy opponent for good money , not the best though(other fights could earn him more.).
People say "he deserves it", but if you put yourself up there as the best (and he regularly says that), then you should fight the best. Why should people shell out for a meaningless fight like Chavez?

Only one that can give ward any issues is a prime calzaghe and that will never happen.

Ward is in the gym every single day and is constantly keeping himself fit with sparring etc...

Ward is still the man to beat and just imagine if froch could do it in his hometown as his last fight..epic!

Ward has already beat froch 10-2 with a broken hand...froch knows how good ward is thats why he wants a big payday with Chavez and I cant blame him.
