    Default Mauro Ranallo

Am I the only one who can't stand this guy? I can't stand the yelling and the fake radio voice and worst of all for my fellow Canadians, he's one of us

He does sound a bit too "canned" for a boxing blow by blow commentator.

He's better than Steve Farhood, who sounds far too effeminate to be a boxing analyst.

John Rawling (boring and monotone) and Max Kellerman (childishly biased and lacking in social tact) are two of the worst, while Teddy Atlas (mentally disturbed) is the very worst of them all.

Joe Tessitore, Antonio Tarver and Jim Lampley are the best.

You're right, there are a lot of mediocre boxing announcers.

I do like Kellerman though, and I really enjoy Malignaggi.

Jim Lampley I like but his inability to determine whether a punch landed or not annoys me. Seems like that should be one of the first concerns of any boxing announcer.

I've hated Mauro for over 10 years. He got his first break commentating MMA events with Pride FC in Japan. He was annoying then, and he's annoying now.

I like the guy. He's smart, knows and likes boxing, always has something to say, and as far as I can see he's fair with his criticism. He can be loquacious or even a little overbearing when he gets excited but we all do.

I know how you feel, I have never liked Larry Merchant or Jim Grey, and I seem to be in the minority.

That's the way Merchant affected me, whereas Grey has this interview style of asking the same question two or three different ways, it irritates me.

i think that mauro is the worst. he is beyond annoying to me. al and paulie are both good but mauro ruins it. i dont really like lampley much anymore either. i used to like him but he is just annoying and beyond bias which i hate. i actually like kellerman unlike many people. he seems like a true boxing fan and kind of says what everybody is thinking. yes he is biased, but he isnt annoying to me.

Seems a bit of a insecure spaz determined to shout down a room. Nice enough guy in relation to much deeper crew he is teamed with but sounds like Jim Lamply brother from another mother...he talks like a cartoon reads. BANG BANG BANG Can't really stand the guy if I'm honest

Mauro Domenico Antonio Ranallo, how can you not like a guy with a powerful name like that.
Google him, he's overcome some problems to get where he is. I doubt it will make you like him, but you might be more tolerant.

Farhood has a terrible nasal NYC accent and sounds effete. Al Bernstein is the absolute worse. Guy will never take a stand, has his own PR guy to handle speeches and signings, and rarely does any research on the fights. He is a lazy lard ass.Mauro is a screamer

Paulie rules in that sorry group on Showtime. .
