best live show you've ever seen

Damn, I saw so many of them. Grateful Dead, Yes, Steve Windwood, Clapton during his from the cradle show which was phenomenal, not his standard show, Blues Traveler, Counting Crows, Dylan and numerous more shows including little known bands in clubs in NYC and Boston. The Dead were always one of my tops, on a good night, when they were on, it was a beautiful thing. It's hard to pick a favorite but I think the Stones consistently put on the best live show. I know it's commercialized arenas rock but the Stones live were something to see. I think now they have become a Stones cover band, I wasn't around to see them in their hey day but the 90s were good years for the Stones.

On a side note, if I never heat Clapton do Layla the rest of my life it would still be too often.

Last few years; Prince, Black Sabbath, and lately a live on stage play called 'The Beast' written by Eddie perfect, a murderous, carnivorous black comedy surrounding three couples who raise their own cow for slaughter and their lives lived get a little bit fucked up over dinner one night, total masterpiece.

Tull, yes, they used to put on a Halloween show every year in my state. Damn good band. Amazing how Ian threw that flute up and caught it in playing position not missing a beat.

Yeah some magic involved too seen him appear and disappear real fast from one area to another once he must have swung on a rope in between light changes or something to come up on another platform under another light. as well as giant ballons the audience got to play with always fun.I mentioned already that once the whole band were playing to us as they were under giant sculptures that were onstage playing chamber music quietly while the audience were being seated for about 30 minutes or more then they got heavier and heavier until the giant paper mache sculptures got ripped off them. was great.

The best show live Thin Lizzy 1978 Liverpool Empire, they were brilliant, hell it was great
five mates, that concert was with out doubt the best I've ever seen.

I've seen LOADS of bands live but two that really stood out for putting on a "Show" were The Who at Londons Hyde Park about 10 years ago and Muse at the New Wembley Stadium about 8-9 years ago.

I remember seeing The Chemical Brothers at Brixton Academy in London about 15 years ago and they literally blew the fucking roof off with some mind bending tunes

Guns and Roses at Perkins Palace before their first record- still had 'em then- got big. Motley Crue in 1981 at the same venue. A couple weeks later I saw Twisted Sister and it was religious.
There has to be a Y&T gig in there. Seen them many times and never an off night. Whitesnake when they opened for Quiet Riot. Riot at the Concert Factory when the late Rhett Forrester spit beer in my face. Queensryche opening for Kiss.
