If he beats Cotto and Oscar lets him fight the Kazak they should do it in Mexico city.

Azteca Stadium with 140k packed in? It would be a scene but I don't see it happening. At least not soon. I'd still pick GGG. I don't understand why this fight is so talked about, I've only seen about 6 people say they'd pick Canelo counting accumulations from multiple sites.

what a fight this would be

canelo could go up a bit and GGG down, how about that?

i think id bet on GGG but it wouldnt surprise me if canelo pulls it out of his knickers

GGG wins easily at 154 or 160. Canelo too one dimensional and not enough power to trouble GGG.

But, absent Mayweather, Canelo has to be the top junior middleweight with his wins over Kirkland, Trout, Angulo and Lara. The Ring Magazine, for what it is worth, ranks him as the best junior middleweight other than Mayweather, and Canelo has been slowing moving up in weight by fighting at 155. Thus, it would be pit the best middleweight versus the best available junior middleweight/rising middleweight. There's something to be said for that.

By the way, the same logic could be applied to Ward-GGG. I don't know many fans picking GGG in that fight. Most people pick Ward in an ugly, mauling fight. Don't you? Froch-GGG is more of even fight on paper.

GGG by violent stoppage at middleweight.

Canelo is fighting at 155 right now and the plan is for him to face Cotto in September for the middleweight belts Cotto holds. So, the fight would be at middleweight. It's a cracking fight for however long it lasts, but you get the feeling that GGG runs away with it.

GGG hits too hard and Canelo takes too many shots to last. Cotto has a very good chance of beating Canelo.

I say GGG takes canelo convincingly. I dont glean too much from GGG being open for Monroe's shots. He fought for a show (as has canelo and pretty much everyone has since the May/Pac) fight, but he and his trainer are smart enough to box canelo with and then only switch over to seek and destroy once Canelo's been tamed.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

You'd have to go with triple G but canelo would make it entertaining whilst it's last with his quick combos. Problem is he works in spurts & can't sustain his work . Golovkins pressure is relentless and canelo would find himself working hard out of his comfort zone to keep Golovkin off him. Another problem canelo has is that jus feet are too slow and heavy to keep moving so if he can't get out the way of the bombs like murray did for afew rounds then I see him absorbing too many & getting stopped
