Default Fighters who had the most control of their careers

I'm sure there are others, but these guys stand out

    Sugar Ray Robinson
    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Roy Jones Jr
    Floyd Mayweather Jr

Yeah good list, I would agree with that.

People talk about how spoiled athletes are today, but they forget Sugar Ray Robinson was no angel himself. He was by all accounts a very shrewd businessman and resorted to a lot of questionable behaviour like agreeing to a pay off for a fight, then showing up the day of and demanding more money from the promoter or he wouldn't fight.

*} Made 'all' the decisions for Joe Frazier. But there was a mutual agreement.
*} Joe was never forced into anything.
*} Remember, he {Joe} walked away from the WBA Tournament in 1967.

Cloverlay, Inc. > Was not a bunch of 'old white' guys.

They were a Philadelphia-based community organization of businessman, small business owners,
church groups and local individuals who formed a medium-sized 'syndicate' to back Joe Frazier's
    early career.

Odd, they're all black Americans. What about the rest of the world?

The irony is that arguably the most charismatic and outspoken fighter ever, Muhammad Ali had as little say on his career decisions as anyone could get.

    First Frazier and now Chuvalo.

You need to take this on the road and do standup.

This kind of odd. One Canadian, one Brit, no Mexicans, no French, no Japanese, no Spaniards, no Central or South Americans, no Cubans, no Puerto Ricans, no Aussies, no Italians, no Africans, no Filipinos, and no Russians. It's just not what I expected.

Jack Dempsey had enough control of his career to avoid fighting a whole race.
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!
