Milford, CT Mayor bans Halloween festivities

Political correctness at its finest. Too many Muslims students and their parents objected to Halloween on the basis that it is a celebration of evil and demons and witches and ghosts. Therefore the mayor of Milford Connecticut has banned Halloween celebrations in the town of Milford. Now all you assholes please tell me that these Muslims really want to integrate into the society that they immigrated to.

HOWEVER


This would make Muslims no different than Jehovah's Witnesses (ironic they don't like people knocking on their doors randomly) and a small group of really hardcore Southern Baptists....the types of people who thought harry Potter was evil.


So end of the day it's just hyper religious people being hyper religious and ruining fun for everyone. I don't think it makes them terrorists....PC maybe....but just "Fun Police" more than anything else.

Lyle, you do see the difference between a Jehovah Witness simply clucking their tongue at a Halloween celebration or a Southern Baptist frowning upon Halloween and its insinuations, and a group of Muslim parents in a town pressuring the mayor to actually ban a celebration?

This is not about whether or not it is enforceable. You wouldn't like new gun laws to go on the books with you even if they were unenforceable. What I am trying to show is the political cloud at the grassroots level that that group of Muslim parents has in Connecticut. Now I don't know how they can enforce that then but I do believe they will try. The point is this Muslim parents have changed at least on paper which is what laws are aren't they an age-old Halloween celebration in a quaint little Connecticut town.
