Bill earned a degree at Yale in history. He has a research assistant for his books which have all bed. NYT bestsellers. I think Bill was bringing to might a few things that upset the crowd that tends to upset those that give Reagan an almost deity status. I like George Wills columns but I didn't read the one he and O'Reilly are going back and fourth on. To me that really wasn't so much in your face journalism but O'Reilly calling out Will. Will thinks O'Reilly was a writing from the left to attack Reagan, hasn't he been watching and reading O'Reillys stuff for the last twenty years.

Now Dawkins is a complete fool. I saw him being pressed for an answer as to how life came about By Ben Stein, an American long involved in politics, economics and documentaries, he was also a speech writer for Nixon when he (Ben) was around 20 years old. But anyway he pressed Dawkins for about four minutes on how life came about if not by intelligent design ( I think Ben Stein is a Jew but I don't know if he practises) so finally, after dodging the question as long as he could Dawkins said life must have cone here from another planet either by asteroid or some advanced civilization put us here as an experiment. I almost choked on my cornflakes hearing Dawkins say that. If you ever watch him being interviewed by people who use his own material to question him he really is an idiot. I thought that interview showed what a joke he is. So God doesn't exist but really smart aliens are behind the curtains pulling the chords. What a frickin reject. If he stuck with the old we are here because the building blocks for life appeared out of nowhere and one single cell creature in some unknown way created the billions of forms of life on the planet even though mathematically it has been proven the odds are much greater that I intelligent design exists, I would have had more respect for Dawkins. You can Google Ben Steins creation debate with Dawkins if you care to see us. Yes, Mr. Dawkins, there is no God who created humans, just really smart aliens who created humans and put us here. Who created them Mr. Dawkins.

Back to George Will, Mr. Will, just because someone brings up aspects of Reagan's life that show he was a mere human does not mean they are fringing bring him down.O'Reilly is a good historian, he taught history for years, does impeccable research on his books although I now forgot if O'Reilly got his degree at Yale or Harvard. In addition, that video has been edited. I have read O'Reilly books killing Jesus , killing Lincoln and killing Patton, they were all great books. I started a thread here about killing Jesus and I mentioned that any of you guys here who are into reading history may even enjoy his killing Jesus book as it goes into great detail of ancient Rome and what life was like at the time. Even though Bill is a Catholic he removed a lot of Catholic teachings and theology from the book as he wanted to write from a historians viewpoint and cited many sources in Jesus time and shortly after as he was more intent on the history of the times.

In closing, George Will is a hack trying to get his name in the mix of a nyt bestseller. I'm glad O'Reilly didn't just interview Reagan's buddies or have people come on his show when they demand stipulations. You can't get the truth talking to someone's buddies especially when they lay out questions they will not answer. Reagan was a good man a n d decent president but I do get sick of the conservative notion that he was a deity. For good measure, one last time, George Will is a hack. And for good measure, Dawkins is an utter utter twat.

On the one hand you are defending the reputation of Bill O'Reilly who is clearly not terribly intelligent considering some of his rather idiotic interviewing technique and then on the other hand describe Dawkins as 'a complete fool' when he obviously isn't. You don't have to agree with his take on evolution or theology, but to say he is an a complete idiot just doesn't hold water. Walrus, you're completely misrepresenting what Dawkins said and what actually happened. I've seen that clip from that film, it wasn't a debate. Dawkins was asked to explain how everything started, he constantly said we don't know.

Dawkins write Shit. Fact is he says there is no God and then when he explains life he needs to back track as people think he's a fool. George wills can be a hack, I don't drag all off O'Reilly books but the three I read were very good. Have you ever read one.
