Just seen Peter Fury saying hes going to chat with Tyson and Hennesey to vacate all the belts. Every one knows Tyson is the best so he doesnt need to pay sanctioning fees to validate himself.

Hahaha!
Best thing to happen in 50 years or since the WBA fragmented into all those other mutations. I've been waiting patiently for champions to make a stand or at least start. More fights that get missed, happen to late or dont happen at all might actually get made.

I can't figure it out! Keeping guys lined up to fight you, for very good money, seems like any fighters dream come true!
I've heard Fury say the same thing himself. I don't think he's getting good advice now.
Does the belt make the fighter? Surly not in this era? There are false idols and there is about 10 per division. The middleweight division is a great example of it. Time for a little realism. And if Fury drops the belt and all of these charlatans flock to find new title holders like the Ibf just did then they make Furys point.
I'm not arguing about anything except what pro fighting is about, which is the money. I don't think Fury will change a thing, in the long run, by vacating titles. All he is doing is giving away big paydays.
He is taking poor advice or doesn't want to take a chance of missing out on a huge payday against Wlad as the Champion. Personally, I think he should be allowed to get the rematch out of the first.
Mayweather could give titles and belts away because he was the money.
Has Tyson Fury proven that he's a money draw with his less than 100 punches landed UD win over Wlad...? I don't think so...
The only reason to fight Fury right now is to gain a title. How many people wanted to fight him when he had no belts?
I like fury..but body lanuage tells me he doesn't like the fact he has to defend his belts against cartain power punchers that are heading his way.
I want him to be a great champion but I see him looking for a way out of everything right now.
He just seems a bit nervous about something..he beats every other heavyweight but I think if wilder turns on the heat and makes the fight 3 rounds then I'm just not confident in furys chin.
I want to be proven wrong but joshua, wilder and haye are in the mix to make late 2016 very interesting.
He has to be careful that it doesn't backfire, because fighters may not want to fight Fury if they don't have to. The 'money' isn't quite with Fury yet so IMO he needs the belt(s).
Edit
Sorry Primo I'd posted without really reading beyond the OP. Good post.

Id love if all the best fighters could just unite and form one singular organisation. Will probably never happen but needs all the best in the divisions to vacate.
I understand that Money isn't everything to the Fury's but if they go through with this, I think they'll regret it .
Everybody in this sport, Fans, fighters, managers and promoters, are a bunch of hypocrites. One one hand , people say "you don't need the belts to prove your the best," on the other hand, you give up the belts, and you'll be forgotten in a heartbeat. The "Champions" won't fight him because they want to tell everyone they're the best because they're the champion!
To cap it all, what if Joshua picked up one of the belts? The press will then hero worship him and turn Fury into a piece of shit.
At the moment, the press are hanging on his every word because he's "The champ!" If he's not the champ, they'll probably have got fed up of him by then and they'll just ignore him. Nobody will be interested in what he's got to say, and eventually they'll ridicule him and turn him into a "David Icke" type figure.
If he's happy to turn away £50-£100 Million pound, crack on. Today's newspaper is tomorrow's chip shop paper.
It'll take some balls to do this in my book.
