Default Haye comeback fight on free to air tv

Just read that Sky and BT sports have no interest in showing it on January 16th.
ITV, Channel 5 and Spike tv are all said to be possibles to show it.
Should be revealed in the next few days.

I think Haye himself is and the fact hes being trained by Mcguigan jnr makes me think ITV might grab this with a bit of history they had showing Frampton fights.
If Haye wins this then he's automatically right back in the mix whether people are sick of him or not.
Fact is he's facing a top 10 ranked fighter which is risky for anyone after 3 year lay off

does the wink mean you think it is risky or not risky?

its an acceptable comeback fight for such a layoff I think

The Guy is ranked with one of the governing bodies, so it's definitely an acceptable comeback fight after his lay off.
I think Sky and Box Nation are just not investing until they've seen if it all comes about. They're playing the "teach him a lesson " game and making out they're not interested.
Fair enough, but if he wins and wins well, they'll be falling over themselves to get him on their Channel.
Also , they know Haye is skint, so it's a bit of a poker match. Joshua v Whyte was PPV, nobody can tell me a Joshua v Haye fight wouldn't sell.

I do think it's risky, this guy is coming for the KO and can punch.
Its a long time out and we don't know if Hayes shoulder injury will allow him to have the same power as he once did.
His second biggest weapon was his athleticism and he was always fast but again can he still be after doing nothing for years?
There's a good chance this could end the same way as Hattons comeback.
Hope im wrong because Haye back in the deep end is brilliant for the division.
We will see in a few weeks.

If Haye wins by a huge KO then a Joshua fight will be massive, not quite Wembley but maybe Watford FC which is AJs manor and he's already said it's him dream to fight there.
Could do 30,000 plus that one.

Hope ITV get it and he fights on there regularly but I can see him take on AJ next if he wins because the longer he waits the better AJ will get.

Which is why many of the channels do not want to touch this fight.

And what will happen? Haye will attempt to get some kind of deal done, it'll fuck with the fight date, it'll get postponed, Haye will do what he always does which is bark on the tv shows but nobody will be there to listen to him because Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have eclipsed him by doing their work in the ring.

David Haye will be LUCKY to get a fight vs Dillain Whyte after all this shit and when Haye's speed and timing go he'll be absolutely wrecked in the ring and he'll go on fighting a bunch of bums and gunning for the British title because he'll have blown all his money and it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.....the fucking prick

Why do most fighters come back simple money, a lot are very poor with there finance's some live lavish life styles.
Haye may well have spent up,! can't see he's coming back for glory just the money.

Default Haye - Presentation and Result

Here we are 3 years after a 'disappointing' performance in Hamburg from David Haye against Vlad. I was there.

He is now promoting his own show, at the O2! Obviously against a hand picked Aussie with a ranking, but is that unusual?

What is unprecedented is that a fighter is taking all the financial risks himself, not being tied to promoters with 'tame' dodgy connections to alphabet committee supremos all on the take.

Man deserves major credit for doing this, and organising this , and sticking 2 fingers up to the boxing establishment.

Hopefully he will present a good show and both live attendees and viewers will be happy.

    As for the result.....

Clearly the main event is effectively the only event. Bookies reckon early Haye, as I do, but lets see a good contest.

Haye has taken a hell of a risk here and deserves credit, win lose or draw.

I'd like to join the praise here but I don't think Haye is doing this because of some moral stand against British boxing promoters. He's doing this because nobody is willing to back his play given the recent past. I'd wager he's burnt a few bridges along the way including pulling out of fights. On the other hand he could be trying genuinely to get back and get fans and has to go this route. I don't trust the guy. He's an event coordinator for himself. I think he's going to attempt to make a few million fighting stiffs and then retire again. I'll try to keep an optimistic outlook but with realistic expectations.

You miss the point, he's not making a 'moral stand' just an equality one. If he's fighting a stiff so what? As long as he gets paid appropriately. The classic example was Warren falling for Haye's cant make the weight any more story after he became Cruiser Champion. Within 2 weeks of that Warren offered Haye £1m to dot a clueless Enzo, money for jam. Haye is taking personal financial risks to get himself maximum return, good luck to him. A bit reminiscent of Billy Walker.
