I like Alvarado, but I don't think it will work for him. Even if he has cleaned up he is older and I think like you saw with Hatton, alcohol and drugs and age will wear you down even if the heart is still lingering. I wish him well and hope he looks good, but it's a tough ask for him to get back to the top now. You get the sense that with family to provide for boxing is maybe the quickest fix, but it's a big ask.
He sounds FOS. I wish the guy well but that interview sounded manic
TBH, I don't like to be disparaging about any Boxer, but he wasn't that great recently anyway . He was a punchbag against Marquez. What's the point of him coming back ?
Yea dont want to see him back in the ring. He could seriously hurt himself and pretty sure anytime he gets in the ring from now will take years off his life.
I wish the guy well, but his out of the ring lifestyle and his in the ring wars have already taken their toll I think. Its evident by things like that eye. I'm still willing to bet that's not 100%.
Its a great attitude and perhaps he could coach some kids and really do something with it ....but in the ring, I think after someone drops a hammer on him for the first time his heart will scream "get up!" and his body will say "f*ck that..." If he makes a run, save as much money as possible and invest it for the future of his family. Go into commentating. in his post fights, he struck me a fairly eloquent guy for a pug.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

It depends how much of his last fight was down to a crystal meth binge or whatever the hell that was I guess, he looked shockingly bad. I don't think he would have ever beaten any of the 147 contenders so aiming high is not going to bode well for him, but if he's broke then you can't fault him for taking some more fights. He has a fan base and a bit of a name, I'd actually like to see a Prescott rematch. That was a great TV fight and neither of them could hope for anything better.
