I've said it before, but the "Fight Floyd Sweepstakes" but the progression of boxing (at least a chunk of it) at a stalemate for quite some time. It also had a domino/filtering effect on other fighters who had hopes of fighting other top guys.

It's only gonna get worse for Floyd, especially as more fighters and big fights get more exposure as we are witnessin now. He will come back to "prove he still the king" and get outlasted against a younger, faster fighter......unless he goes out of his way to select an opponent whom he is aware that he has many advantages against, even at his advanced age.

I doubt he had any intention on retiring with a Berto fight. That should have been a signal for everyone that he'd be back for 50. One could almost swear that the WBC and Alvarez are in on it. After Khan, Floyd will look legit to some fans for Alvarez at middleweight. I got a kick out of Froch trying to keep Khans hopes up yesterday. Imagine if he pulls it out. Floyd vs Khan for the Ring/Wbc/Lineal middleweight championship.

I'm convinced it does not matter who it is. Floyd would make 100 million fighting my next door neighbour and then laugh all the way to the bank with his super fans falling in line claiming more proof as to his historic legacy with no mention of snake-oil or salesman.

Firstly, I am amazed that Master hasn't given this thread or post a "Like" yet. secondly, the longer Floyd stays out of the ring, the less chance there is of him coming back.
Over the last few years, we've seen Floyd take less and less risks, and now we are meant to believe that he's going to change all that and take a massive risk.
