The other thread on underdogs got me thinking about this.

Off the top of my head...

Froch - Bute
Calzaghe - Lacy
Haye - Enzo (a bit of a reach this one maybe - was Haye favourite?)
Khan - Alexander

It's hard to think of many. Pacquiao - ODLH could be on there for the beatdown element, but it wasn't a 50-50 fight. Oscar was a big favourite.

No; Rosario was only a year or so past the Camacho fight and blitzing Bramble; he was considered a beast. Chavez was moving up in weight and had looked anything but a superstar in the LaPorte and Lockridge fights; I think Rosario was the slight favourite going in, many thinking Chavez was too small and maybe overhyped.

That fight Chavez was indestructible. remember Tyson was supporting Rosario as he trained with him sitting and screaming at ringside.

I thought Spinks would win; and if I was in Vegas and seven years older I could have got odds of 5/1.

The only Tyson fight of that period that was close was Tyson/Berbick; it was a pick'em up to fight week, but the last week a lot of money went on Tyson and he started a warm favourite at around 1/3.
