I don't disagree that if Brook fights at 147 he should have to fight Spence and that's it. My view was based on the thread and Khan wanting 70%.
Btw, surely you recognise this "Brooks chap" Ron? He's the one that beat America's new "Mini Mike Tyson" in his own back yard and destroyed that little myth. Admittedly that was a while ago, but that's because Garcia and Thurman have been lining up bums between them and avoiding coming here to fight him despite the fact that they would've been guaranteed more money.
I agree that this is getting out of hand and the best should fight the best, but what can you do when someone as influential as America's Golden Boy is allowed to let fights marinate and make fights at 6 ounces above or below a weight limit so as not to lose a title. Come to think of it, didn't Garcia do that as well? Fuck , it's a stateside epidemic!!!

So USA is to blame for what Mexicans and Puerto Ricans do? Love it!
Reminds me of how Ukrainians respond to Russians who blame Obama for every problem in Russia "yeah, it's Obama pissing in your halls" haha
147 seems to be the epicenter of the problem that permiates the whole of the sport. Everyone has a reason why they shouldn't fight another guy. Of course Thurman wanted Garcia, every top fighter at 147 wanted Garcia. Of course Kell wants Pacquiao or Khan, money money money money. I don't think Spence is some boogeyman, I don't believe in any of the guys that get that rep. Some are good, some are really good, some are over hyped. In the end it comes down to money. If it pays enough they get fights. But part is fighters need to get back to being fighters. It has been proposed for over a year now that Kell would give up his belt when it is time to fight Spence. There is no way Kell has not heard this. If he gives it up it is a bad bad look.
I don't give two shits about a Khan/Brook matchup. I want to see top guys determine who is best. Khan/Brook does nothing to determine this. Brook/Thurman/Spence all need to fight each other. Even if each finishes 1-1 the sport is better off.
It's funny how easy it is to become a legend in this sport and nobody seems to want to follow the simple path. The UK had that era at 168, all they had to do was fight each other and now we will remember them forever. Over here we had the 4 horsemen, all they did was fight each other. Imagine these guys now fight each other twice now, does anyone think they don't come out ahead for it? Go 1-3 and you will still be better for it. Makes the sport extremely frustrating. Because we will be lucky to see these guys fight once. (SMDH)
