Default How many losses should Mayweather have on his record?

For starters I don't really like talking about Floyd at this stage and I hope he remains retired. The forum is relatively quiet tho so I thought this thread might drum up some action.

What should Floyd's record actually be? There are some that feel he should have lost at least 4.

    Thoughts?

We used to have plenty of flomos on here that would argue every second of every minute of Floyd's record "proving" that he's never lost a round let alone a fight, but these days the few that are left will just post "TBE" "49-0" - they got nothing.

I can't even think of the four fighters to beat him?

Castillo for sure, but even that was a close, debatable decision. And Floyd doesn't get credit from his knockers for immediately rematching him.

Some good judges think he lost to Oscar. I don't. Quite a few ringside had Pac winning. He didn't.

    Maidana?

truth is he should have 0 - every fighter gets a bit lucky at some stage and flloyd was good enough that when he was unlucky - i.e. ripped off by the judges vs canelo he was so good they couldnt even give the decision to canelo so it was an SD.

Personally I think Castillo 1 he lost 7-5 and I also think (and I know im in the big minority here) that the cotto fight was a draw. Maidana was very close.

But he's 49-0 and you can't really argue with that, as said everyone gets lucky sometimes - and unlucky as well

One guy mentioned he should have been disqualified against Judah for his trainer entering the ring. Castillo I. Possibly Oscar & Maidana I.

The first Castillo fight was very close. I can also understand the Judah theory although I don't agree. De La Hoya, Pac & Maidana I thought he won. Maidana & Oscar fights were closer than some give credit.

I think it was after Zab hit Floyd low then uncle Roger came storming in the ring.

You could do this with many fighters. All fighters have won or lost close decisions that could have gone either way.

Technically he should have been disqualified in the Judah fight but I'm glad it wasn't called like that. Also, probably in the minority, I think the fight was a draw. Floyd for sure did better, but round by round I thought it was a draw with Judah winning if the KD was called. Basically, Judah won the first 4 rounds then the last 2 (I think) after the whole Roger fiasco.

Castillo, Maidana, Cotto... were his closest fights. You could make arguments for all of them.
The Canelo fight, mentioned here earlier, was such a whitewash you could give him 2 wins on that one.

I can only say the Castillo fight should be a loss.Cotto and Maidana came close.Floyd was very respectful and cautious with Oscar and his left hook. Those 3 still lost tho.
