Default Byrd: Had an off night

I see the officials behind boxings latest farce are backing their corrupt judge.

    http://fightnews.com/nsac-adalaide-bad-night/5019

I also see Orange Man thinks boxing is the winner after the latest episode of blatant corruption.

This poll asks do you think Byrd should be banned for boxing for life? After all she has had a lot of off nights now.

Default Adalaide Byrd- On the right wicket!

Adalaide Byrd was right in her call- Effective punches and punches landed. People forget Ali and Floyd won rounds without even throwing a punch, let alone landing a punch.

GGG did not have the right to win off top. He lost, to me. A draw was cool, but even so a Canelo win was the right call!!

80% of the general public would disagree with you and the despicable judge. That the commission even wants to brush it off as 'a bad day' and confirms that no action will be taken pretty much sums boxing up. It is a corrupt sport and nobody in a million years would come up with Byrds card and yet this person is somehow deemed an expert and able to officiate the biggest fights and not be held to account for the multiple times she has made up a terrible card. She should be investigated immediately and fans should certainly know who she is the next time she gets the go ahead to officiate a fight. Judges are there in person, we should dare them to make their decisions known in front of the cameras, in the ring, live in the arena.

    £20k a fight..wow.

Her cards were wrong in my eyes and she should be banned.

If she would have given a 115-113 then it would have softened the blow and not scar the event.

It's one of the worst cards ever. I think we all have off nights sometimes. It happens, but to lose your eyesight entirely is a serious health issue and she should be retired for health reasons. Though of course there is nothing wrong with her health. I mean, we are not judges and we will all disagree sometimes on our scores, but you seldom see anyone getting it that wrong even online. It was almost as though Byrd was being an actual troll or more likely being an actual crook. To think she got paid 20,000 dollars for that. Apparently they are removing her from big fights, but that is not enough IMO. There needs to be a complete overhaul of judging in boxing. It has gone on too long now and we have a moan online and nothing changes. It's about time we had threads online analysing individual judges, collating their performances, letting the audience at the fights know who they are. Make them accountable. Let them give these scores on a microphone in the ring in front of 20,000 people. We dare them to.

These people are public figures considering the influence they can have over entire careers. Not only their affect on careers, but their affect on gambling and the message they give to the fans. If you bet on a GGG win, then you have been robbed and why should you lose your money? When you have paid as a fan to see the fight in the venue, then you have been robbed too. That's why they were all booing. They were treated with disdain.

Oscar DeLa Hoya seems to think this was a victory for boxing. He is full of it and speaks like a politician (and acts like one too judging by the pictures). Boxing loses every single time this happens. Sure, he gets another payday with a rematch, but the actual sport of boxing loses.

You are clearly having mental health problems if you think that card was acceptable. I would try and get that treated.

Ali and Floyd never boxed a round without throwing a punch in their careers. I defy anybody to find one of those rounds and post it it on here.

I genuinely don't believe she was bribed. If she was, there will be evidence somewhere.

What is actually WORSE is that she was either totally biased or completely incompetent.

Thats why she should never be allowed to judge again.

She's an employee of the Las Vegas state athletic commission which is appointed by the casinos. The casinos want another massive event next Cinco de Mayo and a Golovkin Alvarez rematch ticks the box. She did exactly what Vegas wanted with that card. The fact it was so wide has everybody talking about the card and not the draw. And it's more controversy which all adds to the rematch.

Default Professional boxing let itself down

A good contest at the weekend, anticipated to be a better show than the rubbish 3 weeks before. The fight itself was competitive, everybody happy. The scoring was nothing short of corruption, and an opportunity to showcase a once in a lifetime top quality world title fight was completely fucked by Nevada judges. Don't dress this up as a controversial result!!!! It wasn't, it was a piss poorly executed fix. At a time when boxing needed a good contest to get us out of the overhyped crap from 3 weeks ago what do Nevada deliver? A dodgy fix! Thank you Nevada, will boxing recover? I doubt it with dodgy bastards like you around!

Adelaide Byrd, as was the case with CJ Ross before here, has a massive crush on Canelo.
That's one in the bank no matter how the fight goes.

Not sure Canelo's tapping that, tho.

I think it was a conflict of interest. These judges know "which side their bread is buttered" and will not go against their pay masters.

Either way she needs to never judge a match again. She will be looked after.
