I know boxing is a rough sport. But why on EARTH do guys stand in front of Wlad for the One/Two, Left/Right combination shots. Why do you want to be beaten like that with such thudding shots, and clearly Wlad is able to throw it for twelve rounds- or as long as you last- with such ease.

I don't know what it's like to be in there with him, but one would think you should MOVE and DUCK when facing him. To stand there and just take that over and over and over again is just insane.

Believe it or not, physical activity makes you tired. Watching Frazier or Tyson bobbing and weaving looks simple enough but watch what happened to Sam Peter in the Vitali fight. Fat blob discombobulated himself within three minutes, got dizzy and was left craving for a breathing aid.

It's all easier said than done.

Wlad was in good shape for his fights typically, he was very agile in the ring and he was accurate with his punches. Don't forget he had a hell of a left hook as well.

Sometimes you get in the ring and trying to hit your opponent cleanly is very difficult other times you feel like you can't miss. Wlad was hard to catch clean when he was having a good fight.

Some fighters get tired, some just are too in their heads trying to think of a way to attack, boxing is very tough and it's very very fast when we're talking that world class level.

I think many people tried to duck and weave, but just weren't capable. Everybody's got a plan.........till it gets punched out of them.
Haye made a fairly good job of not being a still object, BUT whilst he was busy doing that, he was very wary of attacking.
it has to be said that when a genuine competitive contender that was capable of avoiding his combos and attacking him i.e. Povetkin came along, he wrapped him all up and whether it's pleasing on the eye or not, it was effective.
At the end of the day, Wlad had success with that combination because he was overall the best for a long period. Simples.

Wlad was very good at what he did and set his opponents up well. AJ found that out the hard way.

Wlad's jab was one of the best in the business. He could hook from the jab and throw right hands after it.

Great skills but he set it all up by positioning himself and setting his opponent up for it.
