Anyone ever think that maybe Gatti wanted to see how the purse looked on him so he put it around his neck, started walking up the stair to get to a mirror, tripped and fell over the side and the strap got caught and youve got an accidental suicide![]()

I'm not really sure what to think about this. This investigation was paid for by Gatti's family...is it common for investigators to come up with findings that make the client happy?
I didn't get suspicious in Gatti's apparent suicide in itself, we have little idea what was going on inside his head, he had a history of alcohol abuse, and watching him fight, it was of course very possible that he was suffering from brain trauma (look at the studies correlating puglistia dementia & CTE with depression). On the other hand, Gatti's wife suddenly being the benificiary of the life insurance policy, and an investigation apparently testing the purse strap and saying it was unlikely to hold Gatti's weight, makes me suspicious.
On a side note, I can't stand it when people say "oh look at how much heart Gatti had in the ring, no way he would give up on life!"......FFS, things are MUCH more complex than that.
