I don't think some of these covers are better than the original. Johnny Cash's version of Hurt is not better than the NIN, it's great because he made the song his own.
Like Nirvana's unplugged take of Leadbelly's - My Girl. Kurt Cobain made that song his own with a great performance. Mark Lanigan used to do an even better version.

Mark Lanegan is fucking awesome. However, Cobains version blows his right out of the water. Interesting fact though, Cobain and Kris Novaselic (Nirvana's bass player), played guitar and bass on Lanegan's album version of 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night?'Originally Posted by Fenster
