I think it's even more arrogant to think that in our current form we'll even come close to comprehending the physical science of creation and whatever came before it.

Until Science (if science...) can be used to explain how all matter and energy came from nothingness - there is no definite proof of there being no higher power.

But there is NOTHING to suggest the existence of any higher 'creator' and certainly in none of the biblical senses of the term.

Science is making impressive progress. Religion has made no headway in 2000 years, the same empty arguments backed up by nothing. No facts, no evidence. Nothing.

God is the sense of awe you feel when you look up on a starry night. It is the wonder that makes you ask "Is there something more to this life?" God is in the ability we have to appreciate beauty, to show mercy, to feel happiness.

well indeed my thread about Bose speakers seem to has changed somewhat ? In fact I don't fucking understand it any more

just packing. After two weeks of averaging (per day) eating three meals, 4 cokes, 2 ice creams, 2 ice lollies, 6 pints, 2 vodka red bulls, 4 vodka oranges and 1 gay cocktail I must return to Blighty.

Weird thing is I have noticed some of my clothes have shrunk too in the 2 weeks I have been here. Hmmm...

And to be honest I don't notice the Mosque speakers any more - though I do think they would be more popular if they sang us Brits something we all know.

Stranger still is that a response to this post will mention the Loch Ness Monster. The world has gone mad - mad I tell you

I try to educate you guys by giving you links to BBC programme about the Moors, or about the prophet Muhammad but instead you stick to the stereotype that is perpetuated in the media that the religion is evil when it is the interpretation by men that is the problem.

No, we deal only in facts. Religion is based upon pseudo benevolent father figures when in reality there is nothing to suggest that they exist.

I'd wager that scientifically we know a very small fraction of what there is to know and probably lack the mental capacity as creatures to comprehend it all anyway.

I believe in what is rather than 'what makes it convenient for me and my sorry excuse for a life'. Facts, facts and evidence and nothing more. Otherwise it is just wishful thinking and an extended ego yearning.

I Know there is only One consciousness that allows separation from itself and others from others in only a couple of its dimensions.

Oh and on the scale of matter and anti matter which is All of what is: If you say you only believe in what you see and can touch materially then your own scope is only choosing to acknowledge less that 3% of the whole.

No, it's the Biblical concept that I mainly take issue with. Such a lot of garbled nonsense. I believe science will ultimately explain everything that we need to know. It's all about energy and if we were to say that god was energy then I would have to concede that energy clearly exists. It can be contained, measured, transferred, released. It exists. But I don't believe in anything divine nor mystical. I believe only in what we are able to quantify through technology and reason. We can't for instance just say that ghosts exist and for me to never see a ghost. I am just not having it. You should at least provide me with the evidence. Right now I am trying to see atoms, but my eyesight is just not good enough. However, there is a substantial body of research that proves to me that they exist. This simply does not exist for good old god. For a chap with such an ability to influence human thought he is awfully elusive. Much like Santa.

I have no doubt that I could knock out Manny Pacquiao by imagining a giant syringe infiltrating his left eye. No need to even throw a punch, I would just stand in the centre of the ring with my mind in deep thought and a a finger of each hand touching the side of my head as I build up the wonderful image which I hope to fling into the face of Manny.

In all seriousness I believe that thoughts lead to actions and thus have consequences, but that is all. If I punch someone in the street that is changing material structures. However, I refrain from doing that. I don't want to hurt anybody unless I am driving and get angry.
