Props for admitting you were trolling and as a Hopkins fan i can agree to a certain extent that Hopkins can and has exaggerated fouls in the ring. Calzaghe and Jones fights were good examples.

Against Dawson though, he was actually hurt. Maybe his past actions caught up to him in this fight. It doesn't make it right though.

Yes, Dawson did scooped up Pascal's leg in that fight. You would notice that Pascal's right foot went above Dawson's knee and this could not have happened if no pressure was exerted to lift it that high. Unless you're thinking that Pascal tried to kick Dawson's balls.

At the end of the day, there is no debate the fight should be ruled a no contest. I have no bone in this fight. I'm not a big fan of either guy. To me, it looked like Chad was going to give Hopkins a tough fight and Hopkins knew it. Given Bernard's track record, I just have a hard time giving him the benefit of the doubt in any circumstance like this one. It wouldn't matter who he was fighting. To be fair, he's earned that. The ref stopped the fight too early, I guess.

I agree. I think Hopkins was probably (almost certainly) milking it, but there is no doubt in my mind that he was genuinely hurt and, at worst, it should be a N/C.

That's no surprise to me.

Rounds were close, i thought Hopkins won the first round though.

Hopkins is a slow starter so we really don't know how it would of went as it progressed.

It's impossible to tell with any accuracy who was going to win the fight. Both are slow starters. Both can fight passively at times. And don't get me wrong I believe the fight should be changed to a no contest, but I blame Bernard, not Dawson. Bernard didn't want to fight Dawson for years and now this is what happens? Given Hopkins' past, I just can't continue to give him the benefit of the doubt in these kinds of situations.
