Even if he does win, he should get partial credit.

    Margarito all day baby..

Partial credit my ass. If anything, he should have stayed firm on 147. Jr. middle is not Miguel's best weight, given his lack of height. And oh yeah... I'm sure Cotto waited until Margarito got his eye socket blown out before taking a rematch. Cotto, who's never ducked anyone in his entire life.

Bruh, I can't really discuss this with the Puerto Ricans because ya can't be objective whenever Margarito-Cotto is brought up.. but I understand.. It's like me and In Jin Chi/Ji hoon Kim, Id ride with these guys till the end, no matter what.

But anyway, Why should Cotto have stayed at 147? nobody forced him to move up.. He wanted to chase another title at a higher weight so he fought the mighty Yuri Foreman for a paper title.. smh

You're talking like a diehard Rican fan right now and that's cool but try to be objective yea??

Cotto never ducked anyone? lol He ducked Floyd for one... there ya go..

bro, Floyd's the one that tucked ass and said he wanted nothing to do with Cotto "cause he wasn't a big enough draw" this was right after Cotto's wins against Mosley and Judah

My memory could be off but from what I remember, Arum promised Floyd saying... After a tuneup bout against Henry Bruseles, he would get a crack at Cotto but after watching Bruseles get destroyed, they backed out claiming that Cotto was GREEN...

So Floyd took the next option in Gatti... Despite what arum claimed, I guess Cotto wanted to scout him anyway so he was in attendance for Floyd-Gatti.. BY the 5th round in that fight, they showed a close face shot of Cotto and it looked like he had just seen a ghost or something.. Cotto had that frozen look on his face like " dammm i better not fuck with this guy ".... and that's that..

and I remember clearly when a prime Cotto beat Mosley and Judah, he said that he felt he was ready for anyone, including Mayweather, and at that point was when Mayweather said he wasn't a big enough draw and that he still had to grow as a fighter, it was on an ESPN interview

Cotto doesn't look any different in that video that he ever does. He actually seems fairly relaxed to me - at one point he winks at someone off-camera.

Cotto ducked Floyd? That's just plain laughable, bro.
On a lighter note... nice avatar.

Finito and El Terrible - from what I gather Floyd wanted a fight with Cotto in 2005. Arum said Cotto wasn't ready, which to be fair, probably wasn't the right time for the fight. Cotto or Margarito versus Floyd was the fight to make in 2007/2008. I remember that those were the fights everyone wanted to see. At the time, Cotto was just coming off a big win over Shane Mosley. It's the fight everyone wanted to see and Floyd instead fought Ricky Hatton at 147 and then retired from boxing.

I'm not Puerto Rican and I don't understand how you can root for Margarito. To me, he's got to be one of the worst characters in boxing right now.

If I was Cotto I would have grilled Marg on the hand wraps, how could he not have known what was happening to his own hands? I would also have said that eye socket is going to get popped! I would also have said that “we are going to make sure that you have no hand wraps in the dressing room as we will watch you closely and you will lose cheater”.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Cotto boxes, rolls and counters (goes to the body more) for the first 4 rounds, pours on the punishment and stops him in 10.....Toni doesn't have the magic wraps anymore, he's durable, but only so much.
