Khan wanted to move up to 147. Why don't they just do the rematch at 147? Peterson weighed 155 pounds tonight to Khan's 149. It isn't as if moving the rematch to 147 would give Khan an advantage.
I don't know why some of you are blaming the ref and not accepting that Khan spoiled his way through the fight. Good on the ref for being hard.
The referee was GOOD. Nothing wrong with his performance at all.
The commission not making the ref available for an interview seems shady to me. I have seen refs who have made worse decisions in the ring give their take on the situation, so i don't understand why the ref was unavailable. Transparency is key in situations like this.
Well all that stuff about Khan beating Floyd and Pacman should be laid to rest now forever.
I can't say that I really give a shit that Khan lost, but the fact is, without the point deductions Peterson wouldn't have won this fight. And even with the point deductions, I still believe Khan won by a point, even a draw would have worked.
I thought it might be a dumb move by Khan and Roach to fight Peterson in DC, as it turned out it was, I don't know WTF they were thinking.
I'm glad Lamont finally won a title, but still.....
I wouldn't mind seeing a re-match in Vegas or somewhere besides DC.
Are you on E's?
Calling a knockdown in the first, which was more of a coming together.
Deciding not to call any breaks after about round 4
Deciding to shout at Khan instead of calling breaks - whilst still letting Peterson throw punches.
Not separating fighters properly when there was a clinch.

Khan needs to stop being so cocky, he can beat Peterson if they fight again. He just got caught up in petersons pressure and it cost him the fight. With the points deductions khan had too much to do, he made the fighter harder for himself by trying to engage too much. He's shown he could take his punches, but he took far too many. No doubt Khan can take a dig now, but proving that point cost him rounds. Raising his arms too much was disrespectful especially in petersons hometown and it's not going to get him any brownie points in Washington.
It was a good fight though, well done peterson. I'd welcome a rematch.
Brownie points in DC earn you a cookie, it's about as low the totem pole of US fights as you can get and still get televised (save Detroit). A new location, Smoger as ref and we settle it. Both fighters have areas they can improve specifically catered to each others styles.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
Im glad the ref didnt call break everytime Khan hung on. Refs shoukld let fighters work instead of breaking teh action and starting again. Otherwise it would have been too esay for Khan to Jab move and hold. This time he had to fight him off and he showed abit of panic under pressure.
Good fight. Khan proved his chin but needs to learn how to fight a guy whos on him all the time because he hadnt learnt thelesson from Maidana.
I wonder if he will finally fight Prescott now they are both coming off losses.
