well said memphis. i mean its not hattons fault hes isnt reguarly floored and looses the odd fight there fore needing rematches, and no father time dosent work the same for hatton as it does for other fighters because of his style. HE TAKES TO MANY PUNCHES. look at vargas, washed up at 28, then look at hopkins, he rarely ever took flush punches. be patient. the big fights will come. wether he wins them or not, he wants them. and as the bloke with a brain in his head said there are better fights than a collazo rematch

True there are bigger fights out there than a rematch for Collazo for Hatton, but he gets no respect from me until he gives Collazo a return. Look Mayweather struggled with Castillo & went straight back in again & dominated just to silence the critics. Hatton needs to do the same as far as I'm concerned!!!

I'd like him to fight him again and in an ideal world he would, I think with the proper preperation he would do a much better job on Collazo, but thats just my two cents. HBO arent going to allow Hatton to spend two of his three fights on the same low key opponant. Collazo served his purpose, its time to move on.

Well this thread is a big suprise....

Nobody posting on here gives a sh*t about Hatton - they just want to pull him to pieces.

We have Mr Snakey - a lifelong Tszyu fan - and guess what? he still holds a grudge about his boy getting the biggest payday / Spanking of his career :

Why can't you let it go Mr Snakey ? these 2 have

And Tito Fan - mmmmm i bet you dont slate Hatton on the Cotto forum do you? Boricua?

Collazo rematch?? let me school you tools about this:-

Hatton only found out it was Collazo 7 weeks and 1 day before 'fight night'.

He jumped up in weight class (even though he had never intended too, never said it was his long term goal - and could still easily do 140) and fought the only 'credible' opponent left who wasn't already committed to fighting someone else.

He flew over the atlantic and beat, yes BEAT this guy in his own country (well snakey??) - he threw more leather, landed more punches and put this kid on the deck and took a unanimous points descision of a DON KING fighter in the states. No fluke there..

Collazo earned more in that ONE fight than all his other fights added together, all because he stole a whiffy descision himself off Rivera - No rematch offered there was there? and it was a hell of a lot closer.

Hatton beat this kid and its onto the next guy - Get over it !!

I would have liked to have seen him give Collazo a rematch ESPECIALLY when I thought he was fighting Urkal but respect to Hatton as he knows an Urkal fight is not worth it. If he is to stay at 147,he may as well go for the big fights,Floyd does not have a dance partner and neither does Cotto, they are both available.
I think a move back to 140 would be in his best interests, big money matches with JLC and Chico and unify every single belt, that would be a great legacy...maybe lure pBF back for 1 more fight?

wHATEVER HAPPENS,HE MUST FIGHT FLOYD AND COTTO!!!

Um considering hatton won the fight...what does he have to let go off and kostya hasnt even watched the fight so he has no reason to be upset about anything. I on the other hand did see the fight and the biggest disgrace of reffing ive seen in a while. Thats all im saying. I wanna like hatton but he gives me reasons not to, always wrestling and now not givin collazo a rematch. I dont like his style.

I don't think it is unimportant where Hatton fights next, but I certainly don't agree that it is more important than who he fights by a long stretch.
Well what other reason is there for not fighting him?

Personally I think it's dishonourable. Every top fighter offers a rematch when it's a really close fight, Morales Pacquio. Taylor Hopkins, Berrara Juarez, Spinks Judah, Holyfield Lewis, Mosely De La Hoya Williams Skelton ( ) and loads others.

The only people who don't give rematches are slimbeballs like De La Hoya.

Baldomir is exempt from this as Judah was a complete cock towards him so deserved to have his belt snatched away and jetted back to Argentina.

But Hatton is supposed to be a man of honour. He got beat last time out, everybody knows it. So be a man and give the champ a chance to level the score.

The Hitman went way down in my estimation after that fight.
All those fights were between established guys and were WORTH doing again

Collazo was a nobody. Not every close fight warrants a rematch. Whatever "fans" on boxing forums waffle on about, Hatton beat Collazo fair and square and doesn't OWE him fuck all

I had Collazo winning by a point. He should of at least got a draw. Sure Hatton doesn't need to give Collazo a rematch, but he should!s

If you were Hattons HBO paymaster would you entertain the thought? Like I said in an ideal world Hatton and Collazo get it on again, but this isnt an ideal world and all the bitching in the world wont change that.

For what its worth I'd much rather see Hatton Collazo II than see Hatton pummel Urkal.

Hatton Castillo would be a great matchup, but for me it represents Hatton moving in the wrong direction (140)
