ok @CutMeMick had a great idea about tagging members in a thread so they know you are talking to or about them in a new thread.

so all you need to do is put an @ sign before their username and they will get a notification about the thread you want them to read.

this also goes on their profile and will help alot of members from not missing out on threads

you will also get a notification when someone quotes you

so if I @ mention a few members online now they will not miss this thread as they are mentioned in it

Why have a tagged and a mentioned option? surely either would suffice? Actually I can understand the mentioned bit, but not the tagged bit.

The tagged option means you can inform a user about a thread that might interest him without everyone seeing you write @Greenbeanz

Well first you type up a reply then on the far right hand side of the tool bar (the one right above the writing area) where you can choose fonts, fonts colors etc there's what looks like a little speaker and it says "Mention" when you scroll over it. Now what you do is you take the person you want to tag......say @Kev for example. So you click and then type the name in between the 'wrap'....kind of like if you were to bolb something you'd place the words you want to bold inbetween the [B_] & [/B_] (I used the _ so you could see it).


With all that done you can freely tag anyone for anything....for example

"Lovely day we're having eh @Kev?"

"That was a nice post @Kev"

"Say @Kev did you catch the fight last night?"

"What did you think about that horrible ref @Kev?"

And so on

This is silly and confusing, I hate change.

I had 5 links and I clicked one to read it which was Matty telling me about the Football and when I went back into setting the other ones were gone.

Not in settings. Look under "my profile" (upper right side) then look under the last two tabs at the top...

When I click on one of them the rest still disappear. I do not care anyway. This will not last long and is lready being abused on poor @Kev
