Easy Marquez win, but who knows anymore with these judges. Twats.![]()
Towards the end of the fight it started becoming clear to me, Rios had a big possible fight with JMM coming up in Sept. and Abril was a relatively unknown Cuban... bingo! Abril was gonna get fucked on the scorecards unless he knocked Rios out. As a protest i'm not going to watch another Rios fight, including the alleged one against Marquez in Sept.
Rant, I just don't believe Rios deserves a shot @ Marquez, but yeah Marquez the master counter puncher would school Rios. Thing is, i'm not that big of a fan of either pug, and chances are the fight would be another PPV that i'm not even going to bother finding a stream for. Arum can stick his PPV's up his ass.

Likar Ramos and Sergiy Fedchenko didn't either. Like Cotto, Marquez has faced a lot of tough competition in his hall of fame career. At this stage, he should be able to pick and choose his opponents. He wants Pacquiao again and I can see him taking another easy fight in the hopes that Pacquiao beats Bradley and they can arrange part 4 in the fall. Plus, the whole division, and Pacquiao, happen to be unavailable right now: Bradley, Pacquiao, Khan, Matthysse, Soto, Peterson, Garcia is with Golden Boy. The fight that may make the most sense is Morales even though he lost against Garcia. It would be a fun fight to watch and big business in Mexico.
How about Alvardo versus Rios? It has barnburner written all over it.
Alvarado-Rios would make a good fight, anybody besides Marquez. Rios shouldn't be rewarded for being irresponsible about making weight in his last 2 fights, and losing/looking like shit against Abril.
Until Rios starts acting like a fucking Pro, he doesn't deserve to get title shots, especially against JMM.
HBO Latino is showing the Rios & Marquez fights again tonight. Just in case any of you want to tape it or watch it again.
